Covid-19 Update: Mon. 30th Nov. 2020 – 1 Death – 306 New Cases.

Eight further confirmed killer Covid-19 virus cases in Tipperary, same confirmed by the Department of Health up to November 28th. Total number of Tipperary cases to-date confirmed at 1,508, per location breakdown.

The Department of Health have confirmed this evening that there have been sadly 1 death caused by the Covid-19 pandemic; leaving the overall death toll, here in the Republic of Ireland, remaining at 2,053.

There are 299 new additional cases reported today, leaving the current total number of confirmed cases, since conception in the Irish Republic, at 72,544.

Of this evening’s confirmed cases; 108 are in Dublin; 30 in Limerick; 22 in Galway; 17 in Donegal; 15 in Wicklow; 14 in Cork; with the remaining 100 cases located across 18 other counties.

This evening there are 244 patients with coronavirus in Irish hospitals with 31 people in intensive care units, (ICU’s).

With non-essential retailers across our Irish Republic finalising preparations ahead of reopening their doors for the first time in six weeks; following advice by the National Public Health Emergency Team (Nphet) regarding “Wet Pubs”, and wisely implemented by Government; Pubs, Bars, Restaurants and Cafes across the Irish sea, in Wales, will be forced to stop selling alcohol. They are also required to shut their doors by 6:00pm in a new round of restrictions that will begin on Friday night ahead of Christmas.

Community Santa For Seniors Campaign

Tipperary Gardaí report that their Community Santa for Seniors campaign has now spread to the Tipperary Garda district.

“Our Community Santa for Seniors campaign has now spread to the Tipperary Garda district. Our aim is to personally deliver Christmas gifts and cards to seniors in all our local Nursing Homes.

Our seniors have had a difficult time during this pandemic and we are asking for your help to spread some Christmas cheer their way.

Local primary school children can send in Christmas cards to bring a smile to their face this festive season.

Members of the public can donate a small gift to their local Garda station.

Note: Final date for Gift Donations is 11th December 2020.

Covid-19 Update: Sun. 29th Nov. 2020 – 2 Deaths – 299 New Cases.

The Department of Health have confirmed this evening that there have been sadly 2 deaths caused by the Covid-19 pandemic; leaving the overall death toll, here in the Republic of Ireland, remaining at 2,052.

There are 299 new additional cases reported today, leaving the current total number of confirmed cases, since conception in the Irish Republic, at 72,241.

Of this evening’s confirmed cases; 94 are in Dublin; 41 are in Donegal; 27 in Wicklow; 14 in Louth; 13 in Limerick; with the remaining 110 cases located across 20 other counties.

This evening there are 257 patients with coronavirus in Irish hospitals with 30 people in intensive care units, (ICU’s).

Other Covid-19 News
Counties where “wet pubs” reopened at the end of September last, experienced an increase in the 14-day incidence rate of Covid-19 just ten days later. This increase was not observed to the same extent in Dublin, where “wet pubs”, were not permitted to reopen.
Minister for Health Mr Stephen Donnelly has publically stated that the evidence is completely clear in relation to wet pub openings, and proves that they same pub openings can lead to superspreader events within the local communities.

There have been sadly 3 further coronavirus-related deaths reported in Northern Ireland, with a further 351 individuals having tested positive for the virus. The PSNI have stated that they have fined 44 people and issued a further 4 notices to others, following three house parties at Castle Street, University Avenue and Sandymount Street, in Belfast city, just last night.

Total global cases up to 5.30pm this evening, now stand at over 62.3 million with global deaths at well over 1.45 million.

Covid-19 Update: Sat. 28th Nov. 2020 – 7 Deaths – 243 New Cases.

10 Killer Covid-19 virus cases in Co. Tipperary

The Department of Health have confirmed this evening that there have been sadly 7 deaths caused by the Covid-19 pandemic; leaving the overall death toll, here in the Republic of Ireland, remaining at 2,050.

There are 243 new additional cases reported today, leaving the current total number of confirmed cases, since conception in the Irish Republic, at 71,942.

Of this evening’s confirmed cases; 10 are in Tipperary (1495 cases in Co. Tipperary to date, per RTE Location breakdown as of 27th November); 91 in Dublin; 26 in Donegal; 18 in Cork; 16 in Waterford; 15 in Limerick, with the remaining 67 cases located across another 17 other counties. No new cases reported in counties Cavan, Longford or Leitrim.

This evening there are 254 patients with coronavirus in Irish hospitals with 31 people in intensive care units, (ICU’s).

Other Covid-19 News

Teams in the Department of Health and the HSE had their first task force meeting earlier this week and have committed to providing a full national vaccination strategy and implementation plan to be forwarded to the Taoiseach by Friday December 11th, with Pfizer and Moderna vaccines currently at the top of the list to be approved.

There have been sadly 9 further coronavirus-related deaths reported in Northern Ireland, with a further 315 individuals having tested positive for the virus. This figure brings the total number of deaths from Covid-19 in Northern Ireland to 983, with the total number of confirmed cases to 51,824.

Total global cases up to 5.30pm this evening, now stand at over 61.8 million with global deaths at well over 1.44 million.
