Death Of Antoinette Coffey, Formerly Of Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with a great sadness that we learned of the death, on Monday 11th May 2026, of Mrs Antoinette Coffey (née Lanphier), Ballina, Co. Mayo and formerly of Horse and Jockey, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by her father Tony; Mrs Coffey passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, while in the care of Ballina District Hospital, Co. Mayo.

Her passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sorrowing family; loving son Clifford, daughter Chantelle, mother Philomena, sisters Therese, Bernadette, Denise, Geraldine, Eileen, Angela, Blanche, Rosemary and Valerie, brother Robert, nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, extended relatives, neighbours, and many friends, [Especially Josie, Vinnie, Ann, Jim, Helen, Steven, Martin and Frances].

Funeral Arrangements.

The remains of Mrs Coffey will be privately cremated. Her Ashes will repose at Hugh Ryan’s Funeral Home, Slievenamon Road, Thurles, (Eircode E41 CP59), on Friday afternoon next, May 15th, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm same evening.
Interment of Ashes will take place at a later date.

Death Of Jim Powell, Formerly Of Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with a great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday Friday 8th May 2026, of Mr James (Jim) Powell, Myrtleville, Co. Cork and formerly of Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by his beloved wife Mary (nee Stuart), brother Pat, sisters Sr. Angela and Susan (Soden); Mr Powell passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, while in the care of staff at Maryborough Nursing Home.

His passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sorrowing family; loving sons Denis and Mike, daughters Eileen (Hendrick) and Liz, their partners Jenny, Jim and Lorraine, his loving partner Fifi, brother Michael, grandchildren Dan, Ruth, Ewan and Stuart, Fifi’s family, neighbours, friends and former colleagues from Thurles Sugar Factory/ Irish Sugar.

The remains of Mr Powell will repose at Denis Fordes Funeral Home, Old Waterpark, Carrigaline, Co. Cork, on Monday afternoon, May 11th, from 5:00pm until 6:00pm same evening.
Funeral service will take place on Tuesday afternoon, May 12th, at 1:00pm at the Island Crematorium, Rocky Island, Ringaskiddy. Co. Cork.

Death Of Eugene McMullan, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday Tuesday 28th April 2026, of Mr Eugene McMullan, Riverview, Borrisoleigh, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Bangor, Co. Down (NI).

Pre-deceased by his parents Joe and Cissie, and brother Eamon; Mr McMullan passed away in the care of staff at Pattersons Nursing Home, Roscrea, North Co. Tipperary, surrounded by his loving family.

His passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sorrowing family; loving wife Mary, sons Stephen and Niall, daughters Mary and Bronagh (Delargy), grandchildren Aoife, Emer, Anna, Cara, Erin, Olivia, Finn, Arturo and Michelle, daughters-in-law Brenda and Adrianna, sons-in-law John and Kevin, nieces Joanne and Lisa, extended relatives, neighbours and many friends.

His remains will be received into the Church of the Sacred Heart, Pallas Street, Borrisoleigh Thurles, on Friday afternoon, to further repose for Requiem Mass at 1:00pm, followed by a service of cremation at Shannon Crematorium, Illaunmanagh, Shannon, Co. Clare, (Eircode: V14 PV30) at 4:00pm.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, today Saturday 25th April 2026, of Mr Anthony Joseph (Tony) Molloy, Crossogue, Ballycahill, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Predeceased by his parents Frank and Ann, sister Mary and brother Franz; Mr Molloy passed away peacefully at his place of ordinary residence, surrounded by his loving family.

It was with a great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday Thursday 9th April 2026, of Mrs Margaret Hyland, (née Farrell), Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin; Stillorgan, Co. Dublin and formerly Killenaule, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by her beloved husband Dermot, and her brothers Billy and Martin; Mrs Hyland passed away while in the care of Earlsbrook Nursing Home, Meath Road, Bray, Co. Wicklow.

Her passing is most deeply regretted sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sorrowing family; loving sons Mark, Ian and Gavin, daughters-in-law Chao, Grace and Andrea, adored grandchildren David, Ruth, Niamh, Chris and Emily, siblings Brigid, Tom and Mary, sister-in-law Sheila, extended relatives, neighbours and many friends.
