Death Of Jimmy Gleeson, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, today Monday 22nd January 2024 of Mr James (Jimmy) Gleeson, Drangan, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

In his 91st year, and pre-deceased by his loving wife May (Mullane), recently deceased son Pat, brothers Fr. John and Paddy, sisters Josephine and Bridget; Mr Gleeson passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, while in the care of staff at Acorn Lodge Nursing Home, Ballykelly, Cashel, Co. Tipperary.

His passing is most deeply regretted and sadly missed by his sons James and John, daughters Mary Rita (Brennan), Ann (Broderick), Rosarii (Hourigan), sons-in-law Liam, Micheál and James, daughters-in-law Nicola, Maeve and Helen, adored grandchildren Stuart, Jamie, Jack, Conor, Danny, Enya, Lucy, Éabha, Ellie-May, Síofra, Sarah, Sophie, Jim and May, great-granddaughter Lily, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements.

The earthly remains of Mr Gleeson will repose at his residence, (E41 XW62), on Thursday afternoon, January 25th, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm same evening.
His remains will be received into the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Drangan, Thurles, to further repose for Requiem Mass on Friday morning January 26th, at 11:00am, followed by interment, immediately afterwards, in the adjoining graveyard.

Death Of Con Ryan, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, on Saturday last, 20th January 2024, of Mr Con Ryan (Stephens) Gortahoola, Drombane, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and late of Ardeen Nursing Home, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and Tipperary University Hospital, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by his sisters Alice and Mary, brothers John, Denis, Ben, Patsy, Michael, Stephen and Andrew; the passing of Mr Ryan is most deeply regretted and sadly missed by his sister Chris, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended relatives, kind neighbours, friends and the Ardeen Nursing Home Community.

Funeral Arrangements.

The earthly remains of Mr Ryan will repose at O’Dwyer’s Funeral Home, Cappanleigh, Upperchurch on Tuesday evening from 6:30pm, before being received into the Church of St. Mary, Drombane, Thurles at at 8.30pm same evening.
Requiem Mass for Mr Ryan will be celebrated on Wednesday morning at 11:30am, followed immediately afterwards by interment in Clogher Cemetery, Clonoulty, Cashel, Co. Tipperary.

Death Of Mary Gleeson, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday Sunday 21st January 2024, of Ms Mary Gleeson, Moyaliffe, Ballycahill, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly Main Street, Templemore, Co. Tipperary.

While in her 100th year and pre-deceased by her sister Bridie (Gunn), brothers John and Mattie, niece Brenda (Duffy); Ms Gleeson passed away peacefully, in the care of staff at Tipperary University Hospital, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary; Ardeen Nursing Home Thurles, Co. Tipperary and Sue Ryder Homes, Holycross, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Her passing is most deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving family; nieces Dympna (Colton) and Ita (Peters), nephews, Jim (Gunn) and Martin (Gunn), grand-nieces, grand-nephews, cousins, extended relatives, kind neighbours and friends.

Requiem Mass for Ms Gleeson will be celebrated on Thursday morning January 25th at 11:30am, followed by interment, immediately afterwards, in Moyallife Cemetery, Ballycahill, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Death Of John Boney, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday Saturday 20th January 2024, of Mr John Boney, Lickfinn, Ballinounty, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by his parents Thomas and Margaret; Mr Boney passed away peacefully while in the loving care of Staff at Tír na nÓg, Our Lady’s Hospital, Cashel, Co. Tipperary.

His passing is most deeply regretted and sadly missed by his sister Nell (Clancy), brother-in-law Lory, cousins, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

Death Of Bridget Burke, Thurles Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday Friday 19th January 2024 of Mrs Bridget Burke (née Perkins), Newtown, Drombane, Thurles Co. Tipperary and formerly Seskin House, Upperchurch, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

In her 99th year, and pre-deceased by her husband Bill, her siblings Fr. Jimmy, Con, Mary, Annie (Clancy), John, Br. Joseph, Willie, Michael, Christy and Oliver, niece Caroline Clancy Ryan and nephew Liam Perkins; Mrs Bourke passed away peacefully, while in the care of staff at Tipperary University Hospital Clonmel.

Her passing is most deeply regretted and sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, sisters-in-law, Burke, Clancy, O’Leary, Perkins, Riall, Ryan (Gurth) and Ryan (Mill) families, extended relatives, neighbours, friends wonderful carers and friends in Ardeen Nursing Home.

The earthly remains of Mrs Bourke will repose at the Funeral Home of Joe O’Dwyer, Cappanleigh, Upperchurch, Thurles, on tomorrow evening Sunday from 6:30pm until 8:00pm, before being received into the Sacred Heart Church, Upperchurch, Thurles.
Requiem Mass for Mrs Bourke will be celebrated at 11:30am on Monday morning, followed by interment, immediately afterwards in Kilvalure Cemetery, The Glebe, Drombane, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
