Thurles Girl Roisin Norton is Rose Of Newcastle

Tipperary’s native beauty and Teesside University student Miss Roisin NortonMiss Roisin Norton is today celebrating having being crowned the regional winner of an International Competition.

Roisin aged 19 and a second-year physiotherapy student, has just been crowned ‘Rose of Newcastle’  at the regional heat of the Rose of Tralee, latter an international festival which is celebrated by Irish communities all over the world.

Roisin, originally from Thurles in County Tipperary, Ireland, came to Middlesbrough to study in 2008 and was chosen to represent Newcastle in the final of the regional contest on Saturday last.

Rosin will now progress to the British Regional finals on June 4th next, where just five girls will be selected to take part in the Rose of Tralee event in August.

    Not surprised – she is a “stunner” as they say in Thurles.
    Anyway the best looking women in Ireland come from Tipp.
