Seasons Of Love – A Night to Remember

2008 marks the 10th anniversary of Phoenix Productions in Thurles and to celebrate the company proudly presents ‘Seasons of Love’, a gala concert which promises to revisit and recreate Phoenix’s greatest hits and most celebrated adventures over the last 10 years.

‘Seasons of Love’ promises to be a unique event that reunites cast members old and new in the Premier Hall next Friday and Saturday October 10th and 11th. From Grease to High School Musical, West Side Story to Guys and Dolls, Phoenix has become the heart and soul of so many people in Thurles over the past ten years, both casts and audiences alike. By reliving and recreating Phoenix’s most memorable moments, it’s so easy to remind Thurles, if reminding was ever needed, just how powerful an experience is Phoenix Productions.

Tickets are still available from P.J Hickey’s Pharmacy Liberty Square (0504) 21423 and are priced at 20 Euro for adults and 15 Euro for children/O.A.Ps. A family ticket is also available. Demand for tickets is high, so booking early is essential. Having been lucky enough to get a sneak preview at their dress rehearsal, I can assure you that this gala promises to be one of Phoenix’s finest moments and a night to be remembered for everyone involved.

So looking forward to it. Heres to ten more years at least. Thank you so much for all your support. Gerard.

  • Good to hear from you. Thank you for your excellent and unselfish work with the young people of Thurles & for instilling in them such confidence and comradeship. Thurles is indeed greatly in your debt.

Phoenix does a lot more than put on shows. It brings people together and has done so for over ten years. Each year new people join and become part of the family. A family that are there for each other. Thanks for all your work over the past ten years.

Phoenix Productions has had yet another amazing run. From young to old we all grouped together, made new friends, rekindled old friendships and strengthened existing ones. I think that a massive, massive thank you is appropriate for Gerard O’Brien, David Wray, Mary Blake and Aisling Doyle who have believed in each and every one of us down through the years. Thurles is so lucky to have people like this willing to give the young people a chance to do something they love doing. I think I am safe in saying that the cast and I are eternally grateful for the work you all have put in. Here is to another 10 shows and another decade of fun.
