It is with great sadness that we learned of the death on Wednesday, 7th June 2023, of Mr. Timothy Jeremiah (Jerry) O’Mahony, Newport, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Thurles.
Late of C.I.E. Mr. O’ Mahony passed away suddenly. Sadly missed by the Donovan and O’Mahony families.

It is with great sadness that we learned of the death on Thursday, 8th June 2023, of Peggy Skelly (née O’Gorman) Fanning Park, Two Mile Borris, Thurles, Co. Tipperary, formerly The Village, Holycross, Thurles.
Predeceased by her parents Patrick and Bridie. Peacefully surrounded by her loving family, under the care of Mary, Christine and staff of Ardeen Nursing Home, Thurles. Deeply regretted by her loving family, husband Thomas, son Noel, daughters Marie, Brid, Valerie and Maureen, son-in-law Gerry, grandchildren Mark, Brid, Kristine and Shane, great-grandchildren Aoibhín and Bryan, brother Ray, nephews, nieces, sisters-in-law Phyllis, Sr Maureen, Noreen and Josephine, brothers-in-law Liam and John, cousins, Ardeen Community, former neighbours and friends.

The earthly remains of Ms. Skelly will repose at Ardeen Nursing Home, Abbey Road, Thurles on Friday, 9th June, from 5.00pm to 7.00pm. Arriving at Holycross Abbey, Thurles, on Saturday, 10th June, at 10.30am for Requiem Mass at 11.00am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

It is with great sadness that we learned of the death, on Tuesday, 6th June 2023, of Mr. Denis (Dinny) Shanahan Abbeyside, Holycross, Thurles, Co. Tipperary formally Gortacoola, Drombane, Thurles.
Peacefully, under the care of staff at Fennor Hill Care Facility, Urlingford and Padre Pio Nursing Home, Holycross.
Predeceased by his parents William and Mary, brothers and sisters. Deeply regretted by his loving family; sister Philomena (O’Dwyer), brother Michael, nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, special friend and neighbour Margaret, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Pre-deceased by his parents Diana and Jimmy, brother Pat, sister Dolores. Deeply regretted by his loving family; sister Mary, brother Gerard, nephews Eoin and Joe and their wife’s Michelle and Mary, brother-in-law Michael, cousin Breda, relatives, neighbours and friends.

A mandala is a geometric configuration of symbols. In various spiritual traditions, mandalas may be employed for focusing attention of practitioners and adepts, as a spiritual guidance tool, for establishing a sacred space and as an aid to meditation and trance induction. In the Eastern religions of Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Shinto it is used as a map representing deities, or especially in the case of Shinto, paradises, kami or actual shrines. A mandala generally represents the spiritual journey, starting from outside to the inner core, through layers.
