10 New killer COVID-19 virus cases confirmed in Co. Tipperary.
The Department of Health have confirmed this evening that there have been sadly 3 new deaths caused by the Covid-19 pandemic; leaving the overall death toll here in the Republic of Ireland remaining at 1,838.
However, there are 1205 new additional cases reported today, leaving the current total number of confirmed cases, since conception in the Irish Republic, at 46,429. [19 previously confirmed cases de-notified]. Today’s figures are the highest in a single day.
Of this evening’s confirmed cases 10 are in Tipperary(Overall total of 920 to date); 288 in Dublin; 173 in Cork; 123 in Meath; 97 in Galway; 63 in Cavan with the remaining 451 located across all remaining counties.
The latest Health Service Executive figures state that there are 238 patients being treated in hospital today, an increase of 24 on last night.
There have been 763 new cases of coronavirus recorded in Northern Ireland today and sadly 4 further death, taking the official toll to 606.
Total global cases this evening now stand at over 38.5 million [38,588,292] with global deaths at almost 1.1 million [1,093,359].

15 New killer COVID-19 virus cases confirmed in Co. Tipperary
The Department of Health have confirmed this evening that there have been sadly 5 new deaths caused by the Covid-19 pandemic; leaving the overall death toll here in the Republic of Ireland remaining at 1,835.
However, there are 1,095 new additional cases reported today, leaving the current total number of confirmed cases, since conception in the Irish Republic, at 45,243. (Same includes the de-notification of 11 previously confirmed cases.)
Of this evening’s confirmed cases; 15 are in Tipperary(Overall total of 910); 246 in Dublin: 185 in Meath; 128 in Cavan; 118 in Cork; 63 in Kildare, with the remaining 327 cases located across all remaining counties.
South Tipperary General Hospital are caring for 4 cases with 5 suspected cases, while University Hospital Limerick, serving North Tipperary, caring for 8 cases, with 6 suspected cases. Tipperary now has an incidence rate of 82.7 per 100,000 population ahead of Waterford (69.7), Wicklow (77.2) and Carlow (80.8).

Ten New killer COVID-19 virus cases confirmed in Co. Tipperary
The Department of Health have confirmed that there have been sadly 1 new death caused by the Covid-19 pandemic; leaving the overall death toll here in the Republic of Ireland remaining at 1,827.
However, there are 825 new additional cases reported today, leaving the current total number of confirmed cases, since conception in the Irish Republic, at 43,351.
Of this evening’s confirmed cases; 10 are in Tipperary(Overall total of 885); 254 in Dublin; 147 in Cork; 39 are in Cavan; 38 in Donegal; 37 in Kildare; with the remaining 300 cases located across 19 other counties.
Of the new cases, 78% are under the age of 45, while the average age is 30.
According to the latest figures from the Health Service Executive, the number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 currently in hospitals as of yesterday are 221 with 32 of these patients in intensive care units.

Thirteen new killer COVID-19 virus cases confirmed in Co. Tipperary
The Department of Health have confirmed that there have been sadly 2 new death caused by the Covid-19 pandemic; leaving the overall death toll here in the Republic of Ireland remaining at 1,826.
However, there are 814 new additional cases reported today, leaving the current total number of confirmed cases, since conception in the Irish Republic, at 42,528.
Currently there are 30 patients with Covid-19 in intensive care units across the State.
Of this evening’s confirmed cases; 13 are in Co. Tipperary; 226 in Dublin; 77 in Cork; 64 in Galway; 56 in Donegal; 48 in Meath with the remaining 330 cases are spread across all remaining 20 counties.
With Tipperary confirming a rising total to date of 875 Covid-19 cases; many of the counties bordering on Tipperary are experiencing lesser virus spikes; e.g. Clare 838; Kilkenny 513: Waterford 395; including former counties recently placed in lock down, namely Offaly with 811 cases and Laois 547 cases to date [Scrool down HERE to view Map of Ireland entitled ‘Location Breakdown‘.]
The Minister for Health Mr Stephen Donnelly has confirmed that there is not going to be a longer mid-term break for schools as the evidence shows that schools are not contributing to a rise in virus numbers. Mr Donnelly further stated that it needs to be understood that for the next two weeks virus figures will get worse, but at the moment a circuit breaker in the form of a complete lockdown is not being considered.
There have been 1,066 new cases of coronavirus recorded in Northern Ireland and sadly 1 further death. This is the second time Northern Ireland has recorded more than 1,000 new cases in as many days.

Seven new killer COVID-19 virus cases confirmed in Co. Tipperary
The Department of Health have confirmed that there have been sadly 3 new death caused by the Covid-19 pandemic; leaving the overall death toll here in the Republic of Ireland remaining at 1,824.
However, there are 1,012 new additional cases reported today, leaving the current total number of confirmed cases, since conception in the Irish Republic, at 41,714.
Of this evening’s confirmed cases; 7 are in Co. Tipperary(Total of 862 todate); 241 are in Dublin; 112 in Cork; 80 in Cavan; 72 in Meath; 66 in Galway; with the remaining 434 cases located across 20 other counties.
Of the cases notified today, 71% are under 45 years of age.
As of last night, there were 194 virus cases in the States hospitals, of which 31 are in ICU’s.
There have been 902 new cases of coronavirus recorded in Northern Ireland during the past 24 hours.
Other COVID-19 News: A group of around 100 counter-demonstrators confronted a smaller group of about 50 National Party supporters protesting against Ireland’s Covid-19 restrictions in Dublin this afternoon. Gardaí at the scene were forced to intervene to keep both sides separated as crowd barriers and missiles were thrown together with fireworks being exploded. Two people were arrested. Under Covid-19 regulations it is an offence to organise an outdoor gathering of more than 15 people, with offenders liable to fines of up to €2,500 together with a six month prison sentence.
The Covid-19 sub-committee has agreed to introduce fines for non-compliance with coronavirus-related rules. Laws will now be drafted by the ministers for Health and Justice, with a scale of graduated fines not yet agreed.
Speaking virtually to the Irish Hospital Consultants Association, the Minister for Health Mr Stephen Donnelly has forewarned that the coming months may be the most challenging in living memory for Ireland’s coerced health sector.
