36 new killer Covid-19 virus cases confirmed in Tipperary
The Department of Health have confirmed this evening that there have been zero new deaths caused by the Covid-19 pandemic; leaving the overall death toll here in the Republic of Ireland remaining at 1,852.
As already stated, there are 1,031 new additional cases reported today, leaving the current total number of confirmed cases, since conception in the Irish Republic, at 50,993. Today sets a new record for the highest number of Covid-19 cases reported on any single day.
Of this evening’s confirmed cases; 36 are in Co. Tipperary(999 cases to date per RTE summary); 235 are in Dublin; 232 in Cork; 60 in Galway; 47 in Limerick; 47 in Kerry; with the remaining 374 cases located across 20 counties.
Tipperary’s incidence rate still remains lowest in Ireland at 109.1 per 100,000 population.
Today nationally, 299 Covid-19 patients are in hospital, with 34 of these in ICU’s.

[The aforementioned 3 deaths reported this evening occurred in the current month, (October2020), while most of today’s confirmed 1,283 cases cover the period of the last four days.].

Of this evening’s confirmed cases; 16 are in Tipperary(963 cases to date); 408 in Dublin; 156 in Cork; 88 in Kildare; 80 in Meath; 55 in Limerick; with the remaining 480 cases located across 20 counties.
Today nationally, 277 Covid-19 patients are in hospital, with 33 of these in ICU’s.
County Tipperary, with a population of some 159,553 persons, has recorded 165 new confirmed cases in the last 15 days, or a total of 963 cases. since the first case was confirmed within our borders. However, some small consulation; our 14-day incidence rate of the virus, per 100,000 people, remains lowest in Ireland at 93.4.

22 new killer Covid-19 virus cases in Tipperary
The Department of Health have confirmed this evening that there have been sadly 8 new deaths caused by the Covid-19 pandemic; leaving the overall death toll here in the Republic of Ireland remaining at 1,849. [Note: Of today’s deaths, five occurred in October, with two in September and one in June.]
However, there are 1,276 new additional cases reported today, leaving the current total number of confirmed cases, since conception in the Irish Republic, at 48,678.
Latest figures from the HSE confirm that the number of people hospitalised with Covid-19 has risen to 260, an increase of 11 overnight, with 30 in intensive care units.
Of this evening’s confirmed cases; 22 are in Tipperary (947 cases to date); 278 in Dublin; 149 in Cork; 108 in Meath; 107 in Galway; 80 in Wexford; with the remaining 532 located across 20 other counties. The 14-day incidence rate of the virus per 100,000 people remains lowest in counties Tipperary (93.4), Wicklow (102.5), Carlow (115.9) and Waterford (130.8).
No decision is expected to be made before Monday next with regard to moving to Virus Level 5 here in the Irish State.

This year, however, it’s a little different due to the coronavirus pandemic. Earlier this year we had to cancel our public CPR training programmes and we don’t know when we’ll be able to run them again.“
