Covid-19 Update: Thur. 15th Oct. 2020 – 3 Deaths – 1205 New Cases

10 New killer COVID-19 virus cases confirmed in Co. Tipperary.

The Department of Health have confirmed this evening that there have been sadly 3 new deaths caused by the Covid-19 pandemic; leaving the overall death toll here in the Republic of Ireland remaining at 1,838.

However, there are 1205 new additional cases reported today, leaving the current total number of confirmed cases, since conception in the Irish Republic, at 46,429. [19 previously confirmed cases de-notified]. Today’s figures are the highest in a single day.

Of this evening’s confirmed cases 10 are in Tipperary (Overall total of 920 to date); 288 in Dublin; 173 in Cork; 123 in Meath; 97 in Galway; 63 in Cavan with the remaining 451 located across all remaining counties.

The latest Health Service Executive figures state that there are 238 patients being treated in hospital today, an increase of 24 on last night.

There have been 763 new cases of coronavirus recorded in Northern Ireland today and sadly 4 further death, taking the official toll to 606.

Total global cases this evening now stand at over 38.5 million [38,588,292] with global deaths at almost 1.1 million [1,093,359].
