Covid-19 Update: Sat. 20th March 2021 – 9 Deaths – 525 New Cases

The Department of Health has confirmed that there has been sadly 9 further deaths caused by the Covid-19 pandemic; leaving the overall death toll, here in the Republic of Ireland, remaining at 4,585.

There have been 525 new additional virus cases reported here within the Irish Republic. This leaves the current total number of confirmed cases, since conception, here in the Irish Republic, at 229,831.

Of the cases today; 226 are in Dublin, 33 in Meath, 29 in Wexford, 25 in Offaly and 24 in Donegal, with the remaining 148 cases located across 19 other counties.

There have been 5,219 virus cases confirmed here in Co. Tipperary, since the pandemic began, relevant up to and including March 18th, 2021.

There are 328 people with Covid-19 in hospital today, and of that number, 83 are in ICU’s, according to Ireland’s COVID-19 Data Hub.

A return to work for over 14,000 construction workers building homes, together with the resumption of group sports training for children, beginning April 5th next, has been identified as the next key priorities for Government.

With the Health Service Executive having resumed administering the AstraZeneca vaccine at several hospitals across the country, some 468,328 first doses of Covid-19 vaccines have now been administered here in Ireland up to March 15th, with 171,258 persons having received their second dose.

The total worldwide number of virus cases identified up to 5:30pm this evening, now stands at almost 122.50 million confirmed, with global deaths at well over 2.70 million.

Covid-19 Update: Fri. 19th March 2021 – 10 Deaths – 507 New Cases

18 new killer Covid-19 cases confirmed in Co. Tipperary.

The Department of Health has confirmed that there has been sadly 10 further deaths caused by the Covid-19 pandemic; leaving the overall death toll, here in the Republic of Ireland, remaining at 4,576.

There have been 507 new additional virus cases reported here within the Irish Republic. This leaves the current total number of confirmed cases, since conception, here in the Irish Republic, at 229,306.

Of the cases today; 18 are in Tipperary, 216 in Dublin, 40 were in Kildare, 29 were in Galway, 24 were in Offaly, with the remaining 180 cases located across 20 other counties.

Some 221 cases have been confirmed in Co. Tipperary in the last 14 days, up to midnight last night. There have been 5,200 virus cases confirmed here in Co. Tipperary, since the pandemic began, relevant up to and including March 17th, 2021.

There are 336 people with Covid-19 in hospital today, and of that number, 87 are in ICU’s, according to Ireland’s COVID-19 Data Hub.

Some 463,500 first doses of Covid-19 vaccines were administered by the Health Service Executive (HSE) here in Ireland up to March 15th, with 168,859 persons having received their second dose.

The total worldwide number of virus cases identified up to 5.30 pm this evening, now stands at well over 122,04 million confirmed, with global deaths at well over 2.69 million.

The Department of Health has confirmed that there has been zero deaths caused by the Covid-19 pandemic; leaving the overall death toll, here in the Republic of Ireland, remaining at 4,566.

There have been 582 new additional virus cases reported here within the Irish Republic. This leaves the current total number of confirmed cases, since conception, here in the Irish Republic, at 228,796.

Of the cases today; 14 are in Tipperary, 156 in Dublin, 23 in Meath, 19 in Donegal, 15 in Louth, 14 in Kildare, with the remaining 167 cases located across all other counties.

Some 208 cases have been confirmed in Co. Tipperary in the last 14 days, up to midnight last night. There have been 5,185 virus cases confirmed here in Co. Tipperary, since the pandemic began, relevant up to and including March 16th, 2021.

There are 345 people with Covid-19 in hospital today, and of that number, 83 are in ICU’s, according to Ireland’s COVID-19 Data Hub.

The European Medicines Agency has come to a clear scientific conclusion that AstraZeneca is indeed a safe and effective Covid-19 vaccine.

Some 455,182 first doses of Covid-19 vaccines were administered by the Health Service Executive (HSE) here in Ireland up to March 15th, with 165,398 persons having received their second dose.

The total worldwide number of virus cases identified up to 5.30 pm this evening, now stands at almost 121.48 million confirmed, with global deaths at well over 2.68 million.

The Department of Health has confirmed that there has been 18 further deaths caused by the Covid-19 pandemic; leaving the overall death toll, here in the Republic of Ireland, remaining at 4,552.

There have been 349 new additional virus cases reported here within the Irish Republic. This leaves the current total number of confirmed cases, since conception, here in the Irish Republic, at 227,663.

Of the cases today; 7 are in Tipperary, 156 in Dublin, 23 in Meath, 19 in Donegal, 15 in Louth, 14 in Kildare, with the remaining 115 cases located across 19 other counties.

Some 187 cases have been confirmed in Co. Tipperary in the last 14 days, up to midnight last night.

The European Commission expects to receive about 200 million doses of the Pfizer/BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine in the second quarter of 2021.
Meanwhile European Medicines Agency chief Ms Emer Cooke has informed an online press conference that she remained firmly convinced of the benefits of AstraZeneca’s coronavirus vaccine, despite several countries suspending its use, over fears of blood clotting.

Some 451,589 first doses of Covid-19 vaccines were administered by the Health Service Executive (HSE) here in Ireland up to March 13th, with 164,345 persons having received their second dose.

People are being urged not to gather over the coming days amid concern over the static nature of the daily Covid case numbers.

The total worldwide number of virus cases identified up to 5.30 pm this evening, now stands at over 120.45 million confirmed, with global deaths at well over 2.66 million.
