It was with great sadness that we learned of the death today, Wednesday 11th April 2018, of Mr Roger (Rody) Phelan, Two-Mile-Borris, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly of St. Bridget’s Square, Portarlington Co. Laois; Clonterry, Mountmellick, Co. Laois; and Mountmellick, Co. Laois.
Predeceased by his parents Michael and Margaret and brother Michael; Mr Phelan passed away peacefully at the home of Mr John and Mrs Angela Tully, (Gala Shop), Two-Mile-Borris, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
His passing is most deeply regretted by his children; Roger, Goretti, Louise, Caroline, Angela, Michael, Adrian, and Orla; grand-children; great-grandchildren; brother Jim; sisters Louise and Angela; brother-in-law; sisters-in-law; sons-in-law; daughters-in-law; extended relatives; neighbours and many friends.
Funeral Arrangements
The earthly remains of Mr Phelan will lie in repose at the home of Angela, John, Tasha and Alex Tully, Two-Mile-Borris, Thurles, from 3.00pm on tomorrow afternoon Thursday, with Rosary Recital at 9.00pm.
Removal will take place on Friday morning, to arrive at St. James’ Church, Two-Mile-Borris, Thurles for Requiem Mass at 11.00am. Following Mass, interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Mountmellick, Co. Laois, with expected time of arrival 1.30pm approximately.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death yesterday, Friday 6th April 2018 of Mr Thomas Gleeson, Gaile, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
Mr Gleeson sadly passed away following a vehicle accident.
Beloved son of the late Bill and Noreen, his passing is most deeply regretted by his loving wife Nuala; daughters Aideen and Bríd; granddaughters Mia and Layla; sisters Bridget, Josephine, Mary and Kathleen; parents-in-law Anne and Rodger; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; aunts; uncles; nephews; nieces; extended relatives; neighbours and many friends.
Funeral Arrangements
The earthly remains of Mr Gleeson will lie in repose at Devitt’s Funeral Parlour, Lower Green, Cashel, Co. Tipperary, on Monday evening next, from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.
Removal will take place on Tuesday morning to St. Peter’s Church, Moycarkey, Thurles, for Requiem Mass at 11.30am. Interment will follow immediately afterwards in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Moycarkey, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Predeceased by her sister Helen; Mrs Lawlor passed away following a short illness.
Her passing is most deeply regretted by her loving husband Jimmy; sons Gary, Steve and Jamie; daughters Caroline, Karina and Sarah; sons-in-law Leonard and Gabriele; daughters-in-law Sara Jane, Louise and Edel; adored grandchildren Josh, Kate, Billy, David, Alex, Sophia, Luke, Sean, Grace, Emma, Odhrán and Rían; brothers Tommy and Michael; sisters-in-law Veron and Josie; brother-in-law Pat; aunts; nieces; nephews; extended relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Funeral Mass will take place on Monday at 11.00am, followed by cremation in The Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork.

It was with a great personal sadness that I learned of the death yesterday, Sunday 1st April 2018, of Mr Noel Connaughton, No. 5 Clobanna Tce, Mitchell Street, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Lanesborough, Co. Longford.
Predeceased by his brothers Declan, Lorcan and sister Mary; Mr Connaughton passed away peacefully, following a long illness most bravely borne, and while in the loving care of Milford Hospice Co. Limerick.
His passing is most deeply regretted by his loving wife Josephine; daughter Bernadette; Brothers Sean (Newbridge), Michael and Joseph (Lanesborough); brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; nieces; nephews; cousins; extended relatives, and a wide circle of friends.

The earthly remains of Mr Connaughton will lie in repose at Egan’s Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Thurles on tomorrow evening Tuesday 3rd April 2018 from 5.00pm with removal at 7.30pm to the Cathedral of the Assumption, Cathedral Street, Thurles to arrive at 8.00pm.
Requiem Mass will be held on Wednesday morning at 11.00am, followed by interment immediately afterwards in St Patrick’s Cemetery, Moyne Rd, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with a great personal sadness that I learned of the death yesterday, Thursday 29th March 2018, of Ms Phyllis Troy, Piercetown, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
Predeceased by her brother Richard (Dick), Ms Troy passed away peacefully while in the care of the William Stoke Unit, Tallaght Hospital, Tallagh, Co. Dublin.

Funeral Mass will take place at 11.00am, followed by interment immediately afterwards in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Moyne Rd, Thurles Co. Tipperary.
