Death Of John Cooke, Formerly Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday Tuesday 12th December 2023, of Mr John Cooke, Killeen, Vicarstown, Co. Cork and formerly of Croke Street, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by his beloved wife Peggy, his parents Patrick and Nora, brother Eddie, sister-in-law Kitty and brothers-in-law Liam and Eamonn; Mr Cooke passed away peacefully, while in the care of staff at Rosenalee Care Centre.

His passing is most deeply regretted and sadly missed by his beloved family, sister Mary, brother Peter, sisters-in-law Cora, Teresa, Philomena, Anne and Kathleen, brother-in-law Tony, nephew Patrick, nieces Margaret, Elaine, Norah, Catherine and Valerie, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces, extended relatives wonderful neighbours, and friends.

Funeral Arrangements.

The earthly remains of Mr Cooke will repose for visitation at Crowley’s Funeral Home, No.1, Bóthar Saclay, Ballincollig, Co. Cork, (P31 W982) on tomorrow afternoon, Thursday December 14th, from 4:30pm to 5:30pm.
His remains will be received into the Church of St. Senan, Cloghroe, Coolflugh, Co. Cork, on Friday morning, December 15th, to further repose for Requiem Mass at 11:30am, followed by interment, immediately afterwards to St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Moyne Road, Thurles, Co. TIipperary (arriving at 2:30pm approximately).

Death Of Monsignor Séamus Ryan, Formerly St. Patrick’s College, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, on Monday 11th December 2023 of Monsignor James (Séamus) Ryan, (Associate Pastor Cashel & Rosegreen), Cashel, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Newport and St. Patrick’s College, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by his parents Margaret and Jim, brother Jack, sister Maureen; Monsignor Ryan passed away peacefully in his 97th year of age, while in the care of staff at Tipperary University Hospital, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.

His passing is most deeply regretted and sadly missed by his sister-in-law Mary, nieces and nephews Mairéad, Séamus, Máire, Eamonn, Áine and Donough, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces, cousins, extended relatives, neighbours, many friends, Archbishop Kieran O’Reilly, Clergy and Religious of Cashel & Emly.

The earthly remains of Monsignor Ryan will repose at St. John the Baptist Church, Friar Street, Cashel, Co. Tipperary on tomorrow afternoon, Thursday, December 14th, from 4:00pm with Evening Prayer at 7:00pm same evening.

Requiem Mass for Monsignor Ryan will be celebrated on Friday, December 15th, at 12:00 noon, followed by interment on the Church grounds.

Death Of John Joe McCormack, Formerly Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday Tuesday 12th December 2023, of Mr John Joe McCormack, St. Kieran’s Homes, Urlingford, Co. Kilkenny and formerly of Boulick, Gortnahoe, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by his parents John and Elizabeth, brother James and sister Lily; Mr McCormack passed away peacefully peacefully while in the care of staff at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny city, Co. Kilkenny surrounded by his loving family.

His passing is most deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving brothers and sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, extended relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

His remains will be received into the Church of the Assumption, Main Street, Urlingford, Co. Kilkenny on Friday morning to further repose for Requiem Mass at 11:30am, followed by interment immediately afterwards in Aglish Cemetery, Graigaheesha, Gortnahoe, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Death Of Denis Russell, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with a great personal sadness that I learned of the death, yesterday Tuesday 12th December 2023, of Mr Denis Russell, Rathmanna House, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

In his 90th year and predeceased by his wife Mary (née Doyle) and son Paddy, sisters Mai (Kearney) and Statia (Cahill), brothers Paddy, Jim and Jack; Mr Russell passed away peacefully at his place of residence, surrounded by his loving family.

A man who brought great joy to the lives of all those whose path he crossed; his passing will now be most deeply regretted and sadly missed by his devoted family; daughters Mary and Helen, sons Dan and Jim, adored grandchildren, sons-in-law David and Ron, daughters-in-law Mary and Maeve, sisters-in-law Mary (Doyle), Joan (Doyle) and Margaret (Bab, Russell), nephews, nieces, cousins, extended relatives, great neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Death Of Mary Roche, Formerly Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday Monday 11th December 2023 of Mrs Mary Roche (née Phelan) Carnane, Doolin, Co. Clare and formerly of Upperchurch, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by her beloved husband Patrick (Paddy); Mrs Roche passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family.

Her passing is most deeply regretted and greatly missed by her beloved family; sons Francis, John and Patrick, daughters Margaret and Marie, sisters Annie Coffey and Teresa Maher, daughters-in-law Julie and Annette, sons-in-law Terence O’Shea and John Finucane, her adored grandchildren; Mason, Joshua, Melissa, Caimin, Abigail, Aaron, Kelsey, Marina and Clarice, nephews and nieces, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.
