Death Of John Bourke, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with a great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday July 4th 2026, of Mr John Bourke, Knockakelly, Borrisoleigh, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by his parents Phil and Nora, brother-in-law Tim and niece Una; Mr Bourke passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, while in the care of staff at Tipperary University Hospital Clonmel, South Co. Tipperary .

His passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sorrowing family; loving wife Joan, sons Philip and Mark, grandchildren Sean, Louise, Darragh, Aoife, Maeve and Conor, daughters-in-law Michelle and Kate, sister Freddie (Sr. Winifred), sisters-in-law Monica and Peggy, brother-in-law Seamus, nieces Anna and Mary, cousins, extended relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Funeral Arrangements.

The earthly remains of Mr Bourke will repose at Kennedy’s Funeral Home Castlequarter, Borrisoleigh, Thurles, (Eircode E41 VX81) on Monday afternoon from 5:00pm with removal at 7:00pm same evening, before being received into the nearby Church of the Sacred Heart, Pallas Street, Borrisoleigh, Thurles.
Requiem Mass will be offered for Mr Bourke on Tuesday morning, at 11:00am, followed by interment, immediately afterwards in St Brigid’s Cemetery, Borrisoleigh. Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
