Death Of Joan Barry, formerly Of Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with a great sadness that we learned of the death, Sunday 18th May 2025, of Mrs Joan Barry (née Fitzgerald), No 13 St Patrick’s Close, Kilkenny City, Co. Kilkenny and formerly of Crohane, Killenaule, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by her son Jonathan; sadly Mrs Barry passed away unexpectedly, on May 18th 2025 last, at her place of ordinary residencee.

Her passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sorrowing family; loving husband Paddy, daughters Debbie, Linda and Alison, sons Andrew and Graham, sister Frances (Culleton), son-in-law Mark, daughter-in-law Helena, grandchildren Dayna, Brandon, Isaac and Brianne, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

The earthly remains of Mrs Barry will be received into the Church of St. Patrick, College Rd, Walkinslough, Kilkenny City, (Eircode R95 VX96) on Saturday morning, June 7th, to repose for Requiem Mass at 11:30am, followed by a Service of Cremation at 3:00pm, on same afternoon, at Mount Jerome Crematorium, Dublin, 158 Harold’s Cross Rd, Harold’s Cross, Dublin, (Eircode D6W HY98)

It was with a great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday, Sunday 1st June, 2025, of Mrs Mary Callanan (née Roche) Rosturra Crescent, Woodview Park, Limerick City, Co. Limerick and formerly of Mitchell Street, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by her husband Gus; sadly, Mrs Callanan passed away unexpectedly.

Her passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sorrowing family; sons Luke and Cathal, daughters Eileen, Áine, Gráinne, Mairéad, adored grandchildren Oisín, Mollie, Lilly, Séan, Emmet, Róisín, Doireann, Chloe, Stella-Mae, Carleigh, Brandon and Brian, daughter-in-law Tracey, sons-in-law Kieran, Alan, Danny and Aaron, sisters Breda, Anne and Margaret, brothers Liam, Charlie and Ger, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

Her remains will be received into the Church of Christ the King, Caherdavin, Co. Limerick, on Saturday morning, June 7th, to further repose for Requiem Mass at 11:00am, followed by a Service of Cremation, same day, at 1:00pm at Shannon Crematorium, Illaunmanagh, Shannon, Co. Clare, (Eircode V14 PV30).

It was with a great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday Monday 26th May 2025, of Mr Gerard (Ger) Moore, Pearse Park, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Moyne, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and Urlingford, Co. Kilkenny.

Pre-deceased by his wife Trish, brothers Tom and Jack and sister Mary (Doyle); Mr Moore passed away peacefully while in the care of staff at Tipperary University Hospital, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.

His passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sorrowing family; daughter Sandra, sons Paul and Kevin, grandchildren Evan, Aaron, Clair and Ciara, brothers Michael, Marty, Pat and Con, sisters Nora (Beckett) and Breda (Richards), mother-in-law Phyllis (O’Mahony), son-in-law Liam, daughters-in-law Mary and Claire, nephews, nieces, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

Tipperary, on Thursday morning at 10:00am, to further repose for Requiem Mass, followed by a Service of Cremation at 1:00pm in the Island Crematorium, Rocky Island, Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork.

It was with a great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday Saturday 24th May 2025, of Mrs Ann Kavanagh (née Ryan), No.8 Columba Terrace, Bohernanave, Thurles, Co. Tipperary, and formerly of Clapham Common, London and Ballyoughter, Ballycahill, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Mrs Kavanagh passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, while in the care of staff at Fennor Hill Nursing Home, Urlingford, Co. Kilkenny.

Her passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sorrowing family; loving husband Michael (formerly Coldfields, Thurles), daughter Kathleen, son Tony, son-in-law Peter, daughter-in-law Maria, grandchildren Ruby, Joseph, Olivia and Grace, brother Danny (Ryan, Youghal), sister Joan (Reardon, Dundrum), nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.
