New ‘Colette Fitzpatrick Show’ Goes On Air Sunday Next

The broadcasting team at Newstalk (106 – 108fm) confirmed yesterday that Tipperary native Colette Fitzpatrick will be joining the broadcasting team at Marconi House to present a new Sunday morning Radio Show.

The new ‘Colette Fitzpatrick Show‘, which is sponsored by Marks & Spencer, will go out on air on Ireland’s National Independent Talk Radio with her show for the first time this coming Sunday (August 2nd) at 9:00am.

M/s Fitzpatrick’s new show will include discussions, expert advice, high profile interviews together with topics including psychology, women’s health and well-being, parenting, book reviews and of course TV.

The Co. Tipperary native, who gained her journalism degree from DIT Aungier Street originally began work at the now named East Coast FM radio station in Co Wicklow. She also spent time working at Today FM, before making the move to TV3 television in 2001.

Presently the 40-year-old mum-of-two is a household name, being one of TV3’s main news anchors and presenting daily news bulletins from the Ballymount station for the past fourteen years, together with hosting the prime time current affairs show ‘Midweek’ every Wednesday and writing her weekly column with ‘The Herald’ newspaper.

The TV hostess and natural beauty was married on May 16th 2009 at Holycross Abbey, Thurles, to Station Director Niall McDermott and the couple are parents to a son Milo (aged 5 in Nov.) and a daughter Olivia (aged 2).
