Thurles Town, today, has lost one of its best friends.
It is with heavy hearts we learn today of the untimely death of Mr Mattie Cahill, late of Slievenamon Road and Parnell Street (MacLochlainn Road Markings) Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
A lover of sport, particularly horse racing, Mr Cahill was greatly appreciated by all Thurles residents for his continuous love and solid support of all things pertaining to Thurles town and indeed Tipperary.
Mr Cahill passed away last night, following a brief illness and to his family and numerous friends go our deepest and heart-felt sympathies at this time.
