Death Of Mary Maher, Formerly Templemore, Co. Tipperary.

It was with a great sadness that we learned of the death, today Sunday, 7th August, 2022, of Mrs Mary Maher (née Dunne), Newtownshandrum, Cork and formerly Templemore, Co. Tipperary.

Mrs Maher passed away peacefully, while in the care of staff at Mallow General Hospital, Mallow, Co. Cork.

Her passing is most deeply regretted by her loving husband Frank, children Linda and Kevin, grandchildren Eva & Ellen, daughters-in-law Karen and Jennifer, sister Eileen, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements.

The earthly remains of Mrs Maher will repose at Austin O’Malley’s Funeral Home, New Line, Rathgoggan, Charleville, Co. Cork, on Monday evening from 6:30pm until 8:00pm.
Her body will be received into the Church St. Joseph, Newtown, Mallow, on Tuesday morning at 11:30am to further repose for Requiem Mass at 12:00 noon.
Interment will take place immediately afterwards in Newtown New Cemetery.

Death Of Liam Quinn, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with a great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday Saturday, 6th August, 2022, of Mr William (Liam) Quinn, Gortnagow House, Holycross, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by his parents Nicky and Bridget, brother Richard,sister Mary, brothers-in-law Mick Minahan, Gerry Smyth, Liam Dunne and Michael Maher; Mr Quinn passed away peacefully at his place of residence surrounded by his family.

His passing is most deeply regretted by his loving wife Maire, family Nicky, Noel, Edel, Imelda (Ahern), Billy, Martin, John, Richard and Michael; daughters-in-law Mary, Geraldine, Dawn, Carmen, Zhanara, Patricia, Catherine and Son-in-law Gerry; his 17 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, brothers Michael and P.J, sisters Margaret (Maher) and Claire (Horan), brothers-in-law Dick Dunne, Tom Horan and Victor Maher; sisters-in-law Maureen, Josephine, Breda, Maureen, Angela and Ann, his many nephews and nieces, extended relatives, kind neighbours and many friends.

The earthly remains of Mr Quinn will repose at his residence on Tuesday evening, August 9th, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm.
His body will be received into Holycross Abbey, Thurles, at 11:00am on Wednesday morning, August 10th, to further repose for Requiem Mass at 11:30am. Mass will be followed immediately afterwards by interment in the adjoining graveyard.

Operation Tara Seize Cannabis During Searches In Tipperary & Carlow.

As part of ‘Operation Tara’, earlier yesterday, Gardaí have seized suspected cannabis with an expected street value of approximately €300,000, following a number of searches conducted in counties Tipperary (Lisatunny, Nenagh) and Carlow, (Tullow Road).

Two men, aged in their 30s and 40s, have been arrested.

Both men are understood to be currently detained at Nenagh Garda Station, North Co. Tipperary.

Relative investigations are continuing.

Death Of Dillon Quirke, Rossmore, Co. Tipperary.

It was with a great sadness that we learned of the death, on Friday, 5th August, 2022, of Mr Dillon Quirke, Gorteenamona, Rossmore, Co. Tipperary.

Mr Quirke sadly passed away unexpectedly in Semple Stadium, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by his grandparents Eddie and Lyla (Fryday), and Phil Quirke; Mr Dillon Quirke passed away unexpectedly in Semple Stadium, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

His passing is most deeply regretted by his loving parents, Dan and Hazel, sisters Shannon and Kellie, his grandmother, uncles, aunts, cousins, extended relatives, GAA team mates and many friends.

The earthly remains of Mr Quirke will repose at his residence on Monday evening next, August 8th, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 9th, at 12:00 noon in St. John the Baptist Church, Clonoulty, Cashel, Co. Tipperary, followed by interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining graveyard.

Death Of Tommy O’Connor, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with a great sadness that we learned of the death, today Saturday, 6th August, 2022, of Mr Thomas (Tommy) O’Connor, Ballyvadlea, Drangan, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Mr O’Connor passed away peacefully at his place of residence, surrounded by his loving family.

His passing is most deeply regretted by his loving wife Kitty, daughters Mairéad and Catherine, son-in-law Chris, grandchildren Cathal, Clodagh, Donncha, Daniel, sister Margaret, brothers Jim, Mickey, Pat and Philly, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Monday morning, August 8th, in the Church of The Nativity, Cloneen at 11:00am, followed by interment in the adjoining graveyard.
