It is with the deepest regret that we report the death, today Saturday 3rd July 2021, of Mr Patrick (Paddy) O’Gorman, Holycross, Thurles, Co.Tipperary; Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Gortfree, Kilmanagh, Co Kilkenny.
Pre-deceased by his parents John and Madge, brother Andy, sisters Mary, Rita and Betty, brothers-in-law Pat, Johnny and Eddie and sister-in-law Helen; Mr O’Gorman passed away peacefully, following a short illness, while in the care of staff at Tipperary University Hospital, Clonmel, south Co. Tipperary.
His passing is most deeply regretted by his loving wife Kay (née Hayes), daughter Margaret, sons Patrick, Kieran and Mark, grandchildren Ella, Holly and Jack, daughters-in-law Sara, Theresa and Donna, Margaret’s partner Conor, brothers James, John and Christy, sister Anna, nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Funeral Arrangements.
The earthly remains of Mr O’Gorman will repose at his residence, for family and close friends, on Sunday afternoon, July 4th, from 2:00pm to 6:00pm.
The funeral cortège, bearing his body, will leave his residence on Monday morning, July 5th, at 10:30am, to be received into the Abbey Church of Holycross, Thurles, at 11:00am, to further repose for Requiem Mass at 11:30am.
Interment will take place immediately afterwards in the adjoining graveyard.
For the many persons who would have liked to have attended the funeral service for Mr O’Gorman, but are unable to do so, due to current coronavirus pandemic restrictions; same can be viewed online HERE.

Turbine manufacturer Vestas, latter the energy industry’s global partner on sustainable energy solutions, yesterday confirmed it had secured a 29MW order from Ørsted for the Danish companies Lisheen 3 project here in County Tipperary.
Vestas design, manufacture, install, and service wind turbines right across the globe, and with +136 GW of wind turbines in 84 countries, they currently are regarded as the world leaders in wind power manufacture.
The Ørsted order will include supply, installation and servicing of eight 3.45MW turbines, each ramped up to 3.6MW operation.
This will be the third phase of Vestas-supplied wind parks at the Lisheen Co. Tipperary location, following the installation of 36MW and the 24MW extensions already put in place.
Vestas will continue to repair the turbines through a 20-year long-term Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service contract, which will provide energy efficiency assurance and Vestas’ industry-leading service experience.
This third phase of the Lisheen project will continue to deliver on the target set in Ireland’s Climate Action Plan of achieving 70% of electricity from renewable sources by 2030.
Deliveries are expected to begin in the third quarter of 2022, while commissioning is expected start in the final quarter of 2022.
The Garda Press Office have confirmed that at approximately 8:30am this morning, Friday, 2nd July, 2021, Gardaí received reports of human skeletal remains having been discovered at the site of roadworks in Templemore, County Tipperary.
Following an examination by a Forensic Anthropologist, it has since been determined that the remains uncovered are of a historical nature, and no further Garda action is required at this time.
It was with the deepest regret that we learned of the death, yesterday Thursday 1st July 2021, of Mr Michael Cahill, Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin and late of Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
Pre-deceased by his brothers Tom and Ned; Mr Cahill passed away peacefully while in the care of staff of the Glengara Park Nursing Home, surrounded by his family.
His passing is most deeply regretted by his loving Connie, family Méadhbh, Aoife, Cormac and the late baby Ailbhe, sons-in-law Dominic and Ralph, daughter-in-law Elaine, adored grandchildren Fiach, Aoife, Cara, Saoirse, Max, Oscar, Alex, Jasper, Lola, Lucy and Jesse, his sisters-in-law Éilis, Maura and Patricia, brothers-in-law Jim and Ken, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

Pre-deceased by her husband John, Mrs Sugrue passed away peacefully.
Her passing is most deeply regretted by her loving daughter Anna Marie; sons John and Tim and his partner Helen; daughter-in-law Jacinta, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother-in-law Tim, sisters-in-law Sheila and Lillian, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.
