A lady pedestrian in her 50s was seriously injured in a three-vehicle crash in Co Tipperary on Friday morning.
The collision happened at around 8:00am on the R498 at Latteragh, Nenagh. Emergency services attended the scene and the woman was airlifted to University Hospital Galway via Shannon-based Irish Coast Guard helicopter, Rescue 115. Garda Forensic Collision Investigators have since examined the area. No other injuries were reported.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have dash-cam footage from the area between 7:45am and 8:15am, to contact Nenagh Garda Station Tel: (067) 50450, the Garda confidential line Tel: 1800 666 111, or indeed any Garda station as investigations continue.
It was with sadness that we learned of the death, on Saturday last 13th September 2025, of Mr Michael Irving, Ballycamas, Clonoulty, Tipperary and formerly of Penrith, Cumbria, England. Mr Irving sadly passed away unexpectedly, while in the care of staff at The Beacon Hospital, Dublin.
Pre-deceased by his parents Colin and Patricia, brother Stephen and mother-in-law Kathleen O’Dwyer (Ballycamas); his passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sorrowing family; loving husband Mike (M.J.) O’Dwyer, sister Mandy Daly, niece Emma, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements.
The remains of Mr Irving will repose at Devitt’s Funeral Home, The Green, Cashel, Co. Tipperary, on Monday evening next, September 22nd, from 6:00pm, with a Service of Remembrance at 7:30pm. All are welcome to attend. Cremation will takes place on Tuesday, September 23rd, in The Island Crematorium, Rocky Island, Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork at 12:00 noon.

It was with sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday Thursday 18th September 2025, of Mr Johnny Butler, Clonboo, Templetuohy, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
In his 93rd year, and pre-deceased by his sons Ned and Jack; Mr Butler passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family.
His passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sorrowing family; loving wife Mary, sons Pat and Matt, daughter Catherine, daughters-in-law Niamh and Anne, son-in-law Tom, grandchildren Kiera, Zoe, Lily, Aoife, Sarah, Seán, Éamonn, Joe and Áine, great granddaughter Éabha, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

Requiem Mass for Mr Butler will be offered on Monday at 12:00 noon, followed by interment, immediately afterwards, in Templeree Cemetery, Ballinroe, Templetuohy, Co. Tipperary.
