The Department of Health have confirmed this evening that there have sadly been 2 deaths caused by the Covid-19 pandemic; leaving the overall death toll, here in the Republic of Ireland, remaining at 2,126.
There are 264 new additional virus cases reported today, leaving the current total number of confirmed cases, since conception in the Irish Republic, at 76,449.
There are 215 coronavirus patients in hospitals, with 33 cases being treated in intensive care units, across the Republic.
Of today’s cases; 79 are in Dublin; 24 in Donegal; 19 in Kerry; 18 in Limerick; 14 each in Kildare and Wexford and the remaining 96 cases located across 16 other counties.
An Taoiseach Mr Micheál Martin has said the rollout of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine will begin in the week after its expected approval by the European Medicines Agency (EMA); latter which is expected to give its decision later this month, on December 29th .
Five coronavirus deaths have been sadly recorded in Northern Ireland, taking their official death toll to 1,129. They also report 419 new cases which takes their cumulative total of positive tests to 58,635.

Five new killer Covid-19 virus cases in Tipperary today.

There are 429 new additional virus cases reported today, leaving the current total number of confirmed cases, since conception in the Irish Republic, at 76,185.
There are 193 coronavirus patients in hospitals, with 31 cases being treated in intensive care units, across the Republic.
Of today’s cases; 122 cases are in Dublin; 46 in Donegal; 30 in Limerick; 22 in Laois; 20 in Cork; with the remaining 189 cases located across all other counties.
Data last updated for Co. Tipperary, as of Sunday, December 13th 2020, shows there have been 1,620 cases todate, 5 more than recorded yesterday.
The Government has received a plan for how the Covid-19 vaccine will be rolled out across the country, and same is expected to be unveiled on Tuesday next, after it has been considered fully by Cabinet.

5 extra killer Covid-19 cases confirmed in Co. Tipperary, up to midnight last night
The Department of Health have confirmed this evening that there have sadly been 3 deaths caused by the Covid-19 pandemic; leaving the overall death toll, here in the Republic of Ireland, remaining at 2,120.
There are 313 new additional virus cases reported today, leaving the current total number of confirmed cases, since conception in the Irish Republic, at 75,507.
Of this evening’s confirmed cases; 18 are in Laois; 21 in Kilkenny; 70 in Dublin; 31 in Mayo; 19 in Donegal; 25 in Louth; with the remaining 154 cases located across 18 other counties, with no new cases notified in Kerry and Leitrim.
There were 35 cases being treated for Covid-19 in intensive care units across the Republic.
Ms Elizabeth Canavan, Assistant Secretary-General at the Department of the Taoiseach has advised that with just two weeks to Christmas, people should start to limit their contacts now; particularly if they plan to spend Christmas with vulnerable family members. This advice is based on keeping in mind what happened in countries like Canada and the United States, following ‘Thanksgiving’ celebrations over there.

15 killer Covid-19 cases confirmed in Co. Tipperary this evening
The Department of Health have confirmed this evening that there have sadly been 15 deaths caused by the Covid-19 pandemic; leaving the overall death toll, here in the Republic of Ireland, remaining at 2,117.
There are 310 new additional virus cases reported today, [10 of those deaths taking place in December], leaving the current total number of confirmed cases, since conception in the Irish Republic, at 75,203.
Of this evening’s confirmed cases; 15 each are in Tipperary, Kilkenny, Waterford and Meath; 80 in Dublin; 27 in Donegal; 25 in Louth; with the remaining 118 cases located across 16 other counties.
There were 203 people bring treated in hospital with Covid-19, with 36 of these being treated for Covid-19 in intensive care units across the Republic.
A further 14 people have died in Northern Ireland from the Covid-19 virus, with an additional 441 people testing positive for the virus. In total the virus has now claimed the lives of 1,099 persons in the North, with a total of 56,719 cases confirmed cases.
Data relevant up to midnight on Thursday, December 10th, 2020, shows there have been 1592 confirmed killer Covid-19 virus cases identified to date in Co. Tipperary. There have been 19 such cases identified within the Thurles local area, within the 14 days between 24th November 2020 and the 7th of December 2020.
