It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, on Saturday 29th March 2025, of Ms Josephine (Josie) Hayes The Green, Holycross, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
Pre-deceased by her parents John Joe and Jane, brothers James and Jack, sister Bridget, sister-in-law Mary and brother-in-law Sean Ms Hayes passed away peacefully, while in the care of staff Rivervale Nursing Home, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary.
Her passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sorrowing family; brother Andy, sister-in-law Rita, nieces Jane, Helena, Marie and Ann Marie, nephews John, Tomas and Donal, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements.
The earthly remains of Ms Hayes will repose at Hugh Ryan’s Funeral Home, Slievenamon Road, Thurles on Tuesday afternoon, April 1st, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm, before being received into the former Cistercian Monastery Abbey at Holycross, Thurles, at 8:00pm, same evening.
Requiem Mass for Ms Hayes will be celebrated on Wednesday morning, April 2nd at 11:30am, followed by interment, immediately afterwards, in the adjoining graveyard.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday Friday 28th March 2025, of Mrs Moira Morrissey, (née O’Donnell), Tullamaine, Fethard, and formerly Moyglass, Killenaule, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
In her 89th year and pre-deceased by her beloved husband Billy, son-in-law Dominic, brothers Matt and Willie and her sister Jenny; Mrs Morrissey, sadly,passed away, while in the care of staff at Cluain Arran Nursing Unit, Tipperary Town.
Her passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sorrowing family; daughters Anne, Mary, Frances, Rita and Eleanor, sons John and Willie, sons-in-law Kevin, Eddie, Paul, Declan and Alex, daughters-in-law Mairead and Maura, grandchildren Stephen, Ian, Leanne, Sean, Niall, Niamh, Daire, Michael, Laura, Owen, Orlaith, Muireasa, John , Brian, Liam, Aoife, Cian, Enya and Hannah, and nine great-grandchildren.

The earthly remains of Mrs Morrissey will be received into the Church of the Holy Trinity, Fethard to repose for Requiem Mass on tomorrow morning, Sunday March 30th, at 11:00am.
A private Cremation Service for Mrs Morrissey will take place at a future date.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, today Thursday 27th March 2025, of Mr Cornelius (Con) O’Dwyer, Ballinure, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
In his 95th year and pre-deceased by his beloved wife Mary Antonette (nee Maher); Mr O’Dwyer passed away peacefully while in the care of staff at Padre Pio Nursing Home, Holycross, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
His passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sorrowing family; loving sons Denis and Michael, Amanda (partner of Denis), grandchildren Denise, Isobel, Dylan and Shane, sister-in-law Noreen, nephews, nieces, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday Wednesday 26th March 2025, of Mr Peter Douglas Ponsonby, Ballylanigan, Mullinahone, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Kilcooley Abbey, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
Mr Ponsonby passed away peacefully at Waterford Regional Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
His passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sorrowing family; loving wife Faith, daughters Emma, Sarah and Julia, sons-in-law Jim, Gavin and Dan, grandchildren Jamie, Tiggy and Coco, brothers Thomas and Henry, Aunt Rosemary, extended relatives, neighbours and friends both at home and around the world.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, today Tuesday 25th March 2025 of Rev. Denis Kennedy (Holy Ghost Fathers-CSSp.) [Missionary in Nigeria, Kenya and United States], Blackrock College, St. Joseph’s Parish Glasthule and formerly Borrisoleigh, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
Pre-deceased by his sister Marie (Fogarty), brother Seamus and grandnephew John; Rev. Kennedy passed away peacefully at Nazareth House Nursing Home.
His passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sorrowing family; sister Margaret (Ryan), brother-in-law Jimmy, sister-in-law Zita, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, extended relatives, neighbours, Spiritan religious confrères and a wide circle of friends.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph’s Parish Church, Summerhill Road, Glasthule, Sandycove, Co. Dublin at 11:30am on Saturday morning, March 29th. His remains will further repose at Kennedy’s Funeral Home, Castlequarter, Borrisoleigh (Eircode E41 VX81) from 5:00pm until 7:00pm, on Saturday afternoon, March 29th, before being removed to the nearby Church of the Sacred Heart, Borrisoleigh, Thurles at 8:00pm same evening.
Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Sunday afternoon, March 30th at 1:00pm, followed by interment in St Brigid’s Cemetery, Upper Main Street, Borrisoleigh, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
