It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday Sunday 18th January 2026, of Mrs Noreen Moriarty, Rushmere, Cabra Road, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Claremorris, Co. Mayo.
Pre-deceased by her husband Joe, three infant babies, sister Margaret, and brothers Mike and John; Mrs Moriarty passed away peacefully, while in the care of staff at Drakelands House Nursing Home, Co. Kilkenny.of Rushmere, Cabra Road, Thurles, Co. Tipperary .
Her passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sorrowing family; loving daughters Orla (Murphy), Nessa (Canny), Ann and son Conor, sons-in-law Pat and Tony, daughter-in-law Jude (Cross), grandchildren Stephen and partner Aisling,, Aoife and husband David, Eoin, Niamh, John, Joe (Canny), Joe (Moriarty) and Kate, great-grand-daughter Ada, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements.
The earthly remains of Mrs Moriarty will repose at the residence of her daughter Mrs Nessa Canny, at Churchill, Cuffesgrange, Co. Kilkenny, (Eircode R95 F1W3), on tomorrow afternoon, Tuesday 20th January, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm same evening. Her remains will be received into the Cathedral of the Assumption, Cathedral Street, Thurles, (Eircode E41 A528), on Wednesday morning, January 21st, at 10:30am, to further repose for Requiem Mass at 11:00am, followed by interment, immediately afterwards, in St Patrick’s Cemetery, Moyne Road, Lognafulla, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, today Thursday 15th January 2026, of Very Rev. James Egan A.P., Knockavilla – Donaskeigh Parish and late of Lisheen, Moyne, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
Pre-deceased by his parents John and Hannah and his sister Sr. Eileen; Rev. James passed away peacefully, while in the care of staff at the Community Hospital of the Assumption, Thurles.
His passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sorrowing family; loving brothers John, Fr. Joe and Dan, sister Margaret (Malone), sisters-in law-Nora and Catherine, brother-in-law Richard, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, cousins, Archbishop Kieran O’ Reilly and fellow priests of the Diocese, parishioners of Knockavilla – Donaskeigh, extended relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, today Friday 16th January 2026, of Mr Liam Coen, Rossmore, Co. Tipperary and late of Newbridge, Co. Kildare.
Mr Coen passed away peacefully at his place of ordinary residence, following a long illness, most bravely borne.
His passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sorrowing family; loving wife Bernie, son Cathal, stepsons Diarmuid and Evan, father Michael, mother Mary, brothers Seamus, Micheál and Padraig, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends and his special comrades in “The Rebel Hearts” music band.
