Death Of Mai O’Dwyer, Clongour, Thurles

It was with great sadness we learned of the death yesterday, Saturday 17th February 2018, of Mrs Mai O’Dwyer, ‘Sliabh Bloom’, Clongour, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

The passing of Mrs O’Dwyer is most deeply regretted by her husband Michael; sons Thomas and Noel; daughters Alma and Louise; grandchildren; brothers John, Michael and Peter; daughters in law; sons in law; nephews; nieces; sisters in law; brothers in law; extended relatives; neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements
The earthly remains of Mrs O’Dwyer will lie in repose at her residence, Clongour, on Tuesday, 20th Feburary, from 5.00pm to 6.00pm.

Her remains will arrive at the Cathedral of The Assumption, Thurles on Wednesday morning, 21st February, at 10.15am.

Requiem Mass will be held on Wednesday morning at 11.00am, followed by interment immediately afterwards in St Patrick’s Cemetery, Moyne Road, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Death Of Donal O’Dwyer, Holycross, Thurles

It was with great sadness we learned of the death, on Friday 16th February 2018, of Mr Donal O’Dwyer, Rathcannon Bridge,Holycross, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Predeceased by his father Brian; Mr O’Dwyer passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family and following a short illness, while in the care of Tallaght Hospital, Tallaght, Dublin 24, Co. Dublin.

His passing is most deeply regretted by his loving mother Patricia (Pat); brothers, Conor and Brian; sisters Louise (Brophy), Pauline (Ryan), Marina (Cotter), Cora (Munro), Patricia (Dwan), Majella (Dwan) and Helen (Ryan); uncle; aunts; brothers in law; sisters in law; nephews; nieces; grand nephews; extended relatives; neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Funeral Arrangements
The earthly remains of Mr O’Dwyer will lie in repose at Hayes’ Funeral Chapel, Clonoulty this coming Monday evening (February 19th) from 5.00pm to 8:00pm.

Arriving at St John The Baptist Church, Clonoulty, Cashel for Requiem Mass on Tuesday morning at 11:30am, followed by interment immediately afterwards in Ardmayle Cemetery, Cashel, Co. Tipperary.

Death Of May Fahey, Gurteenamoe, Rossmore,

It was with great sadness we learned of the death, on Thursday 15th February 2018, of Mrs May Fahey (née Davern), Gurteenamoe, Rossmore, Cashel, Co. Tipperary, and formerly of Lacken, Drombane, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Predeceased by her husband Michael; Mrs Fahey passed away peacefully at South Tipperary General Hospital, Clonmel.

Her passing is most deeply regretted by her loving son Michael; sister Babbie O’Donnell (Erry, Dualla); brother-in-law; sisters-in-law; nieces; nephews; extended relatives; neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements
The earthly remains of Mrs Fahey will lie in repose at White’s Funeral Home, Cappawhite, on tomorrow evening Saturday,  from 6.00pm, with removal at 8.00pm to the Church of Jesus Christ Our Saviour, Rossmore, Cashel.

Requiem Mass will take place on Sunday at 10.00pm followed by interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Death Of Edward Cleere, Cuchulainn Road, Thurles,

It was with great sadness we learned of the death, on Friday 16th February 2018, of Mr Edward Cleere, Switzer Homes, Castle Road, Kilkenny City, Co. Kilkenny and formerly Cuchulainn Road, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Mr Cleere passed away suddenly, after a short illness, while in the wonderful care of the Staff of St. Luke’s Hospital, Co. Kilkenny and previously Prague House, Freshford, Co. Kilkenny.

His passing is most deeply regretted by his sons Noel and Pat; daughter RoseAnne (Troy); sister Josie (Rochford); former wife Mary; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; daughters-in-law; son-in-law; nephews; nieces; sisters-in-law; brother-in-law; extended relatives; neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements
The earthly remains of Mr Cleere will repose at his daughter’s residence (RoseAnne Troy, Meadlán, Ballycurrane, Thurles) on Sunday evening next, 18th February, from 4.00pm to 7.00pm, to arrive at the Cathedral of The Assumption, Thurles on Monday 19th February, at 10.15am.

Requiem Mass will take place on Monday 19th February, at 11.00am, followed by interment immediately afterwards in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Moyne Road, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Death Of Peter Griffin, Slieve na Mon Meadows, Thurles

It was with great sadness we learned of the death today, Friday 16th February 2018, of Mr Peter Griffin (Garda Síochána, Retired), Slieve na Mon Meadows, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Pickardstown, Tramore, Co. Waterford and Ardfield, Clonakilty, Co Cork.

Mr Griffin passed away while in the wonderful care of the Matron and Staff of St. Theresa’s Nursing Home, Dublin Road, Thurles.

Predeceased by his daughter Kathy (O’Brien); his passing is most deeply regretted by his loving wife Bridie; sons Martin, Peader (Peter) and Kieran; daughters Pauline, Una and Miriam; brothers; sisters; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; sons-in-law; daughters-in-law; nephews; nieces; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; extended relatives; neighbours and friends.

The earthly remains of Mr Griffin will lie in repose at Hugh Ryan’s Funeral Home, Slievenamon Road, Thurles on Saturday, 17th February, from 4.00pm to 6.00pm.

Requiem Mass will take place in the Cathedral of The Assumption, Thurles on Sunday 18th February, at 12 noon, followed by interment immediately afterwards in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Moyne Road, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
