Death Of Margaret Hayes, Two-Mile-Borris, Thurles

It was with great sadness we learned of the death yesterday, Saturday 24th February 2018, of Mrs Margaret Hayes (née Hackett), Leigh, Two-Mile-Borris, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Mrs Hayes passed away peacefully at the Milford Hospice, CastleTroy, Co. Limerick, surrounded by her loving family.

Her passing is deeply regretted by her husband Martin; sons T.J. and Patrick; daughter-in-law Sharon; Patrick’s fiancée Una; grandchildren Sophie and James; sisters Maureen Heffernan (Dublin) and Catherine Lord (Baltinglass); brothers John, Michael, Eamon, P.J. and Liam; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; aunt Rita; nieces; nephews; extended relatives; neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Funeral Arrangements
The earthly remains of Mrs Hayes will lie in repose at Egan’s funeral home, Dublin Road, Thurles, on Monday evening from 5.00pm until 8.00pm.

Removal will take place on Tuesday morning to the Church of St. James, Two-Mile-Borris, to arrive at 11.00am.

Requiem Mass will be held on Tuesday morning at 11.30am, followed by interment immediately afterwards in Two-Mile-Borris Cemetery.

Death Of Susan Butler, Friar Street, Thurles

It is with great sadness we learned of the death today, Saturday 24th February 2018, of Mrs Susan Butler (née Connelly), Friar Street, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and Kildysart, Co. Clare.

Predeceased by her husband Gus and son Thomas; Mrs Butler passed away peacefully, while in the wonderful care of the Staff of the Sacred Heart Nursing Home, Crosspatrick, Johnstown, Co. Kilkenny.

Her passing is most deeply regretted by her loving family; Annemarie, Joseph, Augustine, Teresa, John, Seamus, Padraig, Michael, Noelle, Eamon, Patricia, Susan and Paul; her grandchildren; great-grandchildren; sons in law; daughters in law; nephews; nieces; brother in law Fr. Jack; sisters in law Noreen and Dolores; extended relatives; neighbours and many good friends.

Funeral Arrangements
The earthly remains of Mrs Butler will lie in repose at her residence on Monday 26th February from 3.00pm to 7.00pm, to arrive at the Cathedral of The Assumption, Thurles at 7.30pm.

Requiem Mass will be held on Tuesday morning, 27th February, at 11.00am, followed by interment immediately afterwards in St Patrick’s cemetery, Moyne Road, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Death Of Fr. Patrick Grant, Formerly Friar Street, Thurles

It is with great sadness we learned of the death today, Friday 23rd February 2018, of the Very Rev. Fr. Patrick Grant, formerly of Friar Street, Thurles, Co. Tipperary;  Kilrush, Co, Clare, and the retired Parish Priest of St. Paulinus Church, York, England.

Fr. Grant passed away peacefully, while in the loving care of the staff of Kilrush Nursing Home, Co. Clare.

Predeceased by his sister Kathleen and his brothers John and Jimmy; his passing is most deeply regretted by his sisters Mary and Josephine; sisters-in-law Claire and Babs; brother-in-law Arthur; nieces; nephews; extended relatives and friends.

Funeral Arrangements
The earthly remains of Fr. Grant will lie in repose at Hugh Ryan’s Funeral Home, Slievenamon Road, Thurles, on Sunday evening next, 25th February, from 4.00pm to 5.30pm, to arrive at the Cathedral of the Assumption, Thurles at 6.00pm.

Requiem Mass will take place on Monday morning, 26th February, at 11.00am, followed by interment immediately afterwards in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Moyne Road, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Death Of Mary Kennedy, Clonbeg, Drombane, Thurles

It is with great sadness we learned of the death today, Monday 19th February 2018, of Mrs Mary Kennedy (née Looby), Clonbeg, Drombane, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

The passing of Mrs Kennedy, peacefully at her home, is most deeply regretted by her loving husband Teddy; son Paul; daughter Laura; brothers Liam, Jack, Dinny, Pat and Tim; aunt Biddy (Healy); brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; nephews; nieces; extended relatives; neighbours and many friends.

The earthly remains of Mrs Kennedy will lie in repose at Kennedy’s Funeral Home, Borrisoleigh, Thurles, on tomorrow evening, Tuesday from 5.00pm to 7.30pm.

Removal will take place on Wednesday morning to the Church of St. Laurence O’Toole, Monroe, Inch, Thurles, Co. Tipperary, with Requiem Mass to be held at 11.30am, followed by interment immediately afterwards in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Bouladuff, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Death Of William Taylor, Abbey Road, Thurles

It was with great sadness we learned of the death yesterday, Sunday 18th February 2018, of Mr William (Billy) Taylor, Abbey Road, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Mr Taylor passed away peacefully while in the care of Nenagh Hospital, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary.

Predeceased by his wife Alberta; his passing is most deeply regretted by his son David; daughter Denise; daughter-in-law; son-in-law; grandchildren; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; nephews; nieces; extended relatives and friends.

Funeral Arrangements
The earthly remains of Mr Taylor have been donated to the School of Medicine at the National University of Ireland, Galway, in accordance with his precise wishes.

A memorial service for the repose of his soul will be held in the Cathedral of The Assumption, Thurles, Co. Tipperary, on tomorrow evening Tuesday February 20th at 7.30pm.
