Death Of Mary Casey, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with a great sadness that we learned of the death yesterday, Saturday 20th June 2026, of Mrs Mary Casey (née Mockler), Clongour, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

In her 90th year and pre-deceased by her beloved husband Tony, her sisters Norah and Peggy, brothers Tommy, Bobby, Paddy, Jackie and Jim and nephew Seamus; Mrs Casey passed away peacefully following a short illness, surrounded by her loving family.

Her passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sorrowing family; loving sons Pat, Anthony, James and Brian, grandchildren Ciaran, Caoimhe and Muireann, daughters-in-law Aodhdin, Louise and Geraldine, nephews, nieces, sisters-in-law Norah, Janet, Kitty and Chris, cousins, extended relatives, great neighbours and many friends.

Funeral Arrangements.

The earthly remains of Mrs Casey will repose at Hugh Ryan’s Funeral Home, Slievenamon Road, Thurles, (Eircode E41 CP59) on Tuesday afternoon, June 23rd, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm, same evening.
Her remains will be received into the Cathedral of the Assumption, Cathedral Street, Thurles (Eircode E41 A528), on Wednesday morning, June 24th, at 10:30am, to further repose for Requiem Mass at 11:00am, followed, immediately afterwards, by interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Moyne Road Lognafulla, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with a great sadness that we learned of the death today, Saturday 20th June 2026, of Mrs Helen Boyle (née Ely), “St. Joseph’s”, Cassestown, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by her parents Robert and Peggy; Mrs Boyle passed away while in the care of staff at South Tipperary University Hospital, Clonmel, surrounded by her loving family.

Her passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sorrowing family; loving husband Ger, adored family Pat, Robert and Kayleigh, daughters-in-law Sandra and Teagan, grandchildren Conor, Aaron, Daniel, Billy, Kate and Finn, her brothers Harry, Thomas and Francis, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended relatives, loyal customers (Digi Signs & Embroidery Services), wonderful neighbours and friends (especially Marie).

Her funeral cortège will be received into the Cathedral of the Assumption, Cathedral Street, Thurles, (Eircode E41 A528) on Friday morning, June 26th, at 10:30am to further repose for Funeral Mass at 11:00am, followed, immediately afterwards by interment in St. Patrick’s cemetery, Moyne Road, Lognafulla, Thurles, Co. It was with a great sadness that we learned of the death, of Mr Robert (Bob) Ely, (published today Thursday June 18th 2026) of Burma Road, Moyne, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by his parents Margaret and Patrick, brother Jerry, sister-in-law Mary, brothers-in-law Jim and Paddy; Mr Ely passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, while in the care of staff of St Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny City, Co. Kilkenny and Fennor Hill Care facility, Urlingford, Co. Kilkenny.

His passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sorrowing family; loving and devoted wife Peggy (née Normoyle), son Robert, daughter Jean, grandchildren Bobby, Danny and Billy, Robert’s partner Aisling, Jean’s partner P.J. brothers Pat and Murty, sisters Anna (Kiely), Rita (Hally) and Mary (Hayden), nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended relatives, neighbours and many friends.

It was with a great sadness that we learned of the death, on Wednesday 10th June 2026, of Mrs Ann Cawley (née O’Donoghue), Ballybeg, Littleton, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by her parents William and Mary, brothers and sisters; Mrs Cawley passed away unexpectedly, surrounded by her loving family while in the care of staff at University Hospital, Waterford.

Her passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sorrowing family; loving husband Martin, daughters Caroline, Emma and Breda, sons Keith, Mark and Steven, grandchildren, sons-in-law, brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended relatives, neighbours, a wide circle of friends (especially Chris and Breda Doyle and family and her life long friend Bridget (Dedans) McCarthy).

It was with a great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday Thursday 11th June 2026, of Mr Paddy (Paudie) Stapleton, late of Clondalkin, Co. Dublin and formerly of Borrisoleigh, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by his parents Michael and Elizabeth; Mr Stapleton passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, while in the care of staff at the Beacon Hospital, Sandyford, Dublin.

His passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sorrowing and heartbroken family; loving wife Helen, son Páidí, brothers Matt, Michael, TF and John, sisters Maura, Phina (Callanan), Margaret (Barkman) and Monica, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, wonderful neighbours and many great friends.
