Death Of Kathleen Hassett, Formerly Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday Monday 1st January 2024, of Mrs Kathleen Hassett (née Meehan), Lisduff, Errill, Co. Laois, and formerly of Templetouhy, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by her husband Paddy, her parents Michael and Mary and brother Denis; Mrs Hassett passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family while in her 100th year of age.

Her passing is most deeply regretted and sadly missed by by her adoring family, Michael, Tom, Marian (Shanahan), Denis, Breeda (Harty), Pat-Joe and Seamus, sons-in-law Liam and Pat, daughters-in-law Mary-Ann, Ann, Julie, Linda and Jacqui, her 17 grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, dear neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Funeral Arrangements.

The earthly remains of Mrs Hassett will repose at her place of residence (Eircode R32 DDP8) on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon, January 2nd & 3rd, from 4:00pm pausing for prayers at 8:00pm on both evenings.
Her remains will be received into the Church of Our Lady Queen of the Universe, Errill Co. Laois, on Thursday morning, January 4th, to further repose for Requiem Mass at 11:00am, followed by interment, immediately afterwards, in St. Mary’s Cemetery Templetouhy, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Death Of Eileen Slattery, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday Sunday 31st December, 2023, of Mrs Eileen Slattery (née Hanrahan), Rathcoole, Moyglass, Killenaule, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by her husbands Eddie Walsh and Pat Slattery and her son Denis; in her 97th year, Mrs Slattery passed away peacefully, following a short illness, in the care of staff at Bantry General Hospital, Co Cork.

Her passing is most deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving daughters Gráinne (Molony) and Fiona (O’Riordan), sons-in-law Conor and Finbar, her adored grandchildren Sinead, Jerry, Niall, Patrick, James and Jim, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements.

Her earthly remains will repose at McCarthy’s Funeral Home, Fethard, Co. Tipperary on Wednesday afternoon, January 3rd, 2024 from 5:00pm, with removal at 7:00pm same evening, to the Church of St. Joseph the Worker Church, Moyglass, Killenaule, Thurles, to arrive at 7:30pm.
Requiem Mass for Mrs Slattery will be celebrated on Thursday morning, January 4th, at 11:30am, followed by interment in the adjoining graveyard.

Death Of Mai Fitzsimons, Formerly Thurles, Co Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, today Monday 1st January 2024, of Mrs Mary (Mai) Fitzsimons (née Ryan), Rassudden, Ballyjamesduff, Co. Cavan and formerly of Drombane, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by her husband Francie, son Eamonn, grandson Tyrone, sisters Babs, Josie, Peggy, Breda, Lally, and Anne: Mrs Fitzsimons passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, while in the care of staff at Medical One, Cavan General Hospital, Co. Cavan.

Her passing is most deeply regretted and sadly missed by by her heart broken sons TJ, Norbert and Martin, daughters Maura and Kay, daughters-in-law Dymphna, Rose and Clare, her brothers Sonny and Ned and sister Nonie, brothers-in-law James and Sean, sisters-in-law Kay and Moira, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, friends and neighbours.

Requiem Mass for Mrs Fitzsimons will be celebrated on Wednesday morning, January 3rd, at 12:00 noon, followed by interment, immediately afterwards, in the adjoining graveyard.

Death Of Pat Lyons, Formerly Gortnahoe, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, on Friday 29th December last, 2023, of Mr Patrick (Pat) Lyons, Castleknock, Co. Dublin, and formerly of Gortnahoe, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Mr Lyons, sadly, passed away suddenly, while in the care of staff at the Mater Private Hospital, Eccles Street, Dublin.

His passing is most deeply regretted and sadly missed by his heartbroken and loving wife Margaret, daughters Emma and Katie, son Mark, son-in-law Aidan, grandchild Tadhg, his sisters Margaret, Mary, Eileen and Tríona, brother Séan, mother-in-law Anne, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

His remains will be received into the Church of St. Thomas the Apostle, Laurel Lodge Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, on Monday morning, January 8th, to further repose for Requiem Mass at 11:00am, followed by cremation in Glasnevin Crematorium, Finglas Road, Glasnevin, Dublin.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday Saturday 30th December 2023, of Mrs Christina Quinlan (née Maher), Clermont, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Gooldscross, Clonoulty, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by her husband Paddy, her siblings Michael, Philip, Peter, Tom and Kitty, daughter-in-law MB, and granddaughter Lily; Mrs Quinlan passed away peacefully while in the care of staff at Ashlawn Nursing Home Nenagh, Co. Tipperary.

Her passing is most deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving family, daughters Catherine and Paula, sons John, Michael, Philip, Pat and David, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, Maura Quinlan and all her many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.
