It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday Monday 29th December 2025, of Mr Philip Shanahan, Killahara, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Gortahoola, Drombane, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by his parents Nora and Patrick; Mr Shanahan passed away peacefully after a long illness most bravely borne.

His passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sorrowing family; loving and devoted wife Bernadette, son Thomas, daughters Noreen and Eileen, son-in-law Eamon, grandson Maitiú, sisters Marian and Mairead, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

Rest in peace.

Funeral Arrangements.

The earthly remains of Mr Shanahan will repose at O’Dwyer’s Funeral Home, Cappanaleigh, Upperchurch, Thurles, (Eircode E41 FN34), on tomorrow afternoon Wednesday December 31st, 2025, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm, before being received into the Church of the Sacred Heart, Upperchurch, Thurles, that same evening.
Requiem Mass for Mr Shanahan will be offered on Thursday morning, January 1st, 2026, at 11:30am, followed by interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining graveyard.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, on Wednesday 24th December 2025, of Mr Robert (Bob) Cantwell, formerly of No. 33 Kickham Place, Mullinahone, Tipperary, and Poulacapple Mullinahone, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by his parents William and Alice, brother Billy, sisters Mary, Bridie and sister in law Stella; Mr Cantwell passed away peacefully following a short illness, while in the care of staff at Willowbrook Lodge Nursing Home, Mocklershill, Fethard, Co. Tipperary.

His passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sorrowing family; nephew Liam, nieces Anne, Noelle, Ailish and Michelle, grandnieces Clodagh, Ava, Aly, Ella, grand-nephews Eoin, Patrick, Aidan, the Luttrell family cousins, neighbours and a close circle of friends.

Requiem Mass for Mr Cantwell will be offered on Monday morning, December 29th at 11:30am in St Michael’s Church, Mullinahone, Thurles, followed by interment, immediately afterwards, in St Michael’s Cemetery, Killaghy, Mullinahone, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by his parents Mary and Michael, sisters Mary, Kitty and Bridget; Mr O’Shea passed away peacefully at his place of ordinary residence, surrounded by his loving family following an illness most bravely borne.

His passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sorrowing family; loving wife and best friend Joan, children Carmel, Martina, Mary, Michael and Willie, sons-in-law Daniel, Thomas and John, daughter-in-law Margaret, grandchildren Aoife, Orlaith, Emma, Shona, Cáit, James, Seán, Rebecca, Aodhán and Cillian, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

Requiem Mass for Mr O’Shea will be offered on Saturday morning in St. John the Baptist Church, Clonoulty, Cashel at 11:30am, followed by interment, immediately afterwards, in nearby Clonoulty Old Cemetery, Clonoulty Churchquarter, Clonoulty, Co. Tipperary.
