It was with sadness that we learned of the death, today Monday 25th August 2025 of Mrs Mona Lyons (née Carrigan), Baunta, Callan, Co. Kilkenny and formerly Burnchurch, Killenaule, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
Pre-deceased by her husband Jack, her sisters Kitty, Maureen and Jocie, her brother Jim and her great-granddaughter Moira, Mrs Lyons passed away at her place of ordinary residence, surrounded by family.
Her passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sorrowing family; loving daughters Mary, Bernadette and Breda, sons Joe, John and Adrian, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-granddaughter, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements.
The earthly remains of Mrs Lyons will repose at P. Molloy’s Funeral Home, Callan, Co. Kilkenny, (Eircode R95 Y443), on Wednesday afternoon, August 27th, from 4:00pm until 7:00pm, same evening. Rosary and Vigil Prayers will be recited afterwards at her home in Baunta (Eircode R95 Y5F2) at 8:30pm.
Funeral Prayers will also be recited at the residence of Mrs Lyon’s, on Thursday morning, August 28th, at 11:00am, before her earthly remains are received into the Church of the Assumption, Callan, Co. Kilkenny, to further repose for Requiem Mass at 12:00 noon, followed by interment, immediately afterwards, in Kilbride Cemetery, Callan, Co. Kilkenny.

It was with sadness that we learned of the death, today Sunday 24th August 2025, of Mr John Doyle, Padre Pio Nursing Home, Holycross, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Ballycurrane, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
Pre-deceased by his parents John and Anna, Mr Doyle sadly passed away unexpectedly after a short illness, while in the care of staff at Tipperary University Hospital, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.
His passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sorrowing family; loving sisters Marie and Josephine, niece Aoife, nephews Seán and Aidan, extended relatives, neighbours, the Padre Pio community and friends.

Pre-deceased by his parents John and Mary, his sister Sr. Maureen and his brother-in-law Con Gleeson; the passing of Fr. John is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sorrowing family; loving brother Michael, sister Rita Gleeson (Killoskehane), nephews John and Neil Gleeson, nieces Mary Bourke and Majella O’Brien, grand nephews and grand nieces, extended relatives, the Pallottine Community, neighbours and many great friends.

It was with sadness that we learned of the death, today Friday 22nd August 2025, of Mrs Kitty (Catherine) O’Dwyer (née Dwyer) ‘The Steeple’, Littleton, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
In her 93rd year and pre-deceased by her beloved husband Willie and daughter Oonagh: Mrs O’Dwyer passed away peacefully at her place of ordinary residence.
Her passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sorrowing family; loving daughters Maria, Cait, Patricia, Sheila and Ailish, son William, daughter-in-law Marie, sons-in-law Dickie and Joe, adored grandchildren Oliver, Darragh, Henry, Conan, Evan and Clara, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

It was with sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday Thursday 21st August 2025 of Mr Michael (Mick) Connolly, ‘The Grove’, Cabra, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Kinvara, Co. Galway.
Mr Connolly passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, while in the care of staff at the Community Hospital of the Assumption, Thurles and Tipperary University Hospital, Clonmel, South Tipperary..
His passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sorrowing family; devoted and loving wife Mary (née Heffernan), daughters Maria and Joanne, sons Thomas and Tony, grandchildren Chloe, Mary-Kate, Sarah, Julieann, Lily, Emma, Ava, Ted, Lucy and Charlie, son-in-law Emmet, daughters-in-law Eimear and Susan, sisters Mai and Ann, brothers John, Thomas, Bob, Liam and Anthony, nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended relatives, former colleagues of Thurles Sugar Factory, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
