It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, today Thursday 10th September 2026, of Sr Assumpta White, Convent of Mercy, Rosanna Road, Tipperary and formerly of Knockbawn, Rossmore, Co. Tipperary
Sr. Assumpta passed away peacefully, while in the care of staff at University Hospital, Limerick, Mercy Sisters and family members.
Pre-deceased by her parents William and Nora, sister Kitty, brothers Matty, Pat, Dan and William; the passing of Sr Assumpta is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sorrowing family; treasured nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces and great grandnephews, great grandnieces, Mercy Sisters congregation, neighbours and many friends.

Funeral Arrangements.
The earthly remains of Sr. Assumpta will repose in the Convent of Mercy Chapel, Rosanna Road, Tipperary Town, this afternoon, Friday, September 11th, from 4:00pm until 6:00pm.
Her remains will be received into the parish Church of St. Michael, St Michael’s Street, Tipperary Town, at 12:00 noon, on Saturday, September 12th, to further repose for Requiem Mass, followed by interment, immediately afterwards, in St. Michael’s cemetery, Cashel Road, Rathsasseragh, Tipperary.
