It was with a great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday Tuesday 11th August 2026, of Mr John Hennessy, Coolbawn, Mullinahone, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
Pre-deceased by his parents Edmond and Kitty, his brother Michael and his brothers-in-law Jimmy Arrigan and Noel McNulty; Mr Hennessy passed away peacefully, after a short illness, while in the care of staff at The Oak Ward, University Hospital Waterford
His passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sorrowing family; loving wife Bridie, sons Paul and David, grandson Evan, brother Eamon, sisters Connie, Moira, Rose and Ann, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Funeral Arrangements.
The earthly remains of Mr Hennessy will repose St. Michael’s Church Mortuary, St Michael’s Church, Kickham Street, Mullinahone Thurles, (Eircode E41 EW94), on Thursday afternoon, August 13th, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm, concluding with Rosary and Vigil Prayers, same evening.
His remains will be received into the nearby Church of St Michael, Kickham Street, Mullinahone, Thurles, to further repose for Requiem Mass at 11:30am on Friday morning, August 14th, followed by interment, immediately afterwards in St Michael’s Cemetery, Killaghy, Mullinahone, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
