More Than just Beauty and Glamour
First established in 1947, Miss Ireland is one of the country’s longest-running beauty pageants. Over the decades, the competition has provided a national platform for young women, celebrating confidence, ambition, achievement and their other involvements.
The competition also has an important charitable dimension, with Ronald McDonald House selected as its charity partner for 2026, helping families remain close to children undergoing hospital treatment.

For Erin and Marie, the competition presents an opportunity to showcase their individual achievements while representing their home town and county on a national stage.

A Possible Journey to Miss World 2027.
The winner of Miss Ireland 2026 will have the opportunity to represent Ireland at the Miss World Festival in Tanzania in 2027.
Both Clonmel finalists will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of previous successful Tipperary contestants, including Ms Aoife Walsh, who won Miss Ireland in 2013, and Niamh Kennedy, who claimed the crown in 2016.
For the people of Clonmel and throughout Tipperary, having two local women in the national final is already a proud achievement.

We wish Ms Erin Mitten and Ms Marie Maunsell every success as they fly the Premier County flag at Miss Ireland 2026.
