It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, on Wednesday 23rd September 2026 of Mr Patrick (Pat) Morrissey, Newtown, Bantry, Co. Cork and formerly of Ballinahow, Ballycahill, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
Pre-deceased by his younger son, Conor, (April 24th 2007), brother Tim and sister Kate; Mr Morrissey passed away peacefully in the presence of his loving family, while in the care of staff at St Joseph’s Unit, Bantry General Hospital, Cork
His passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sorrowing family; loving wife Eileen (née Martin), son Paddy and daughter Jo (Lloyd), daughter-in-law Bunny, son-in-law Adam, five grandchildren Hannah, Conor, Eddie, Jimmy and Winnie, brother Nicholas, brother-in-law Harry, sisters-in-law Ursula and Ursula, extended relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Funeral Arrangements.
The earthly remains of Mr Morrissey will reposed at his place of ordinary residence, Newtown, Bantry, Cork, (Eircode P75 EW89), this afternoon, Thursday, September 24th from 3:00pm until 8:00pm, same evening, (parking will be available at Wolfe Tone Park).
His remains will be received into the Church of St. Finbarr, Chapel Street, Carrighagat, Bantry, to further repose Requiem Mass at 12:00 noon tomorrow Friday, September 25th, followed by interment, immediately afterwards in the Abbey Cemetery, Abbey, Bantry, Co. Cork.
