11,558 New Coronavirus Cases Confirmed On Irish Mainland Today.

In the Republic of Ireland, over the past 24 hours the Department of Health has confirmed 3,975 PCR cases of the killer Covid-19 virus, with a further, 4,478 people registering a positive antigen test through the HSE portal.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the Republic of Ireland, to 8,453 today.

Yesterday, February 6th, also in the Republic of Ireland, there were 4,933 PCR-confirmed cases of Covid-19 and 3,803 people who registered a positive antigen test through the HSE portal.

On Saturday last, February 5th, in the Republic of Ireland, there was 6,260 PCR-confirmed cases, with 4,717 people registering a positive antigen test through the HSE portal.

As of 8:00am this morning, there were 643 patients being treated in the Irish Republic’s hospitals, with the virus, an increase of 28 on the same time yesterday.

In Northern Ireland today, a further 3,105 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed, up 411 on yesterday’s confirmed cases.

There are 362 patients with Covid-19 in northern hospitals, up from 359 reported on last Friday and with 14 of these patients in intensive care units, up from 12, also reported on Friday.

There are 183 confirmed Covid cases in Care Homes across Northern Ireland, while 2 Covid-19-related deaths have been reported today, bringing the total number of deaths linked to Covid-19 within Northern Ireland since the start of the pandemic, to 3,130.
