Covid-19 Numbers Confirmed At 2,499 Today On Mainland Of Ireland.

The Department of Health has confirmed 1,384 new cases of Covid-19 over the past 24 hours here in the Republic of Ireland.

There are 382 patients being treated in hospital for Covid-19, an increase of 29 on yesterdays reported figures, with 74 of these patients in intensive care units (Up 20% in past 7 days) around the country.

With social media platforms largely responsible for people’s scepticism in getting vaccinated, YouTube (owned by Google), are continuing to remove content that spreads misinformation about all approved vaccines. In the last 14 months, well over 130,000 videos have been removed from its platform.

Some 3,000 of France’s 2.7 million health care; care home and fire service staff have already been suspended since mid September, because they were not vaccinated against Covid-19.

Videos already taken down include those that stated approved vaccines were dangerous and cause autism, cancer or infertility. YouTube’s policy also rightly includes the termination of accounts of anti-vaccine influencers.

In Northern Ireland another 1,115 cases of the virus were also been confirmed by their Department of Health, down from 1,274 confirmed yesterday.

Alas, sadly, 3 further coronavirus-related deaths have been reported on today, bringing the total number of deaths linked to Covid-19 in Northern Ireland, since the start of the pandemic, to 2,588.

Do continue to keep yourself and your family safe by regularly
washing your hands, wearing a mask when appropriate, opening your windows to ventilate indoor spaces,
and choose outdoors where possible, when meeting other family and friends.
