Death Of Billy Moriarty, Formerly Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with the deepest regret and sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday Wednesday 25th August 2021, of Mr Billy Moriarty, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim and formerly Urard, Gortnahoe, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by his wife Lizzie, sister Mary and brothers Tom and Joseph; Mr Moriarty passed away peacefully while in the care of staff at North West Hospice Co. Sligo, surrounded by his family.

His passing is most deeply regretted by his partner Kathleen, his loving family Chris, Susan, Sean and Peter, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother Pat, sisters Breda (Hickey) and Margaret (Barnaville), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Funeral Arrangements.

The earthly remains of Mr Moriarty will repose at Doyle’s Funeral Home, Urlingford, Co. Kilkenny, on tomorrow evening Friday August 27th, from 5:00pm until 6.30pm, followed by removal to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Gortnahoe, Thurles, arriving at 7.15pm with Mass at 7.30pm.
Mr Moriarty will further repose for Requiem Mass on Saturday morning for family and close friends, at 11.30am, followed by interment in Fennor Cemetery, (near Urlingford), Gortnahoe, Co. Tipperary.

[NB: Due to Public Health Guidelines, regarding C-19 virus restrictions; those attending will continue to observe strict adherence to social distancing and face covering.]
