It was with great sadness and regret that we learned of the death, yesterday Friday 5th March 2021, of Mr Joseph (Joe) Troy, St Brigid’s, Lognafulla, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
Mr Troy sadly passed away suddenly in his 93rd year, while in the care of staff of Ward 3A, University Hospital Limerick.
His passing is most deeply regretted by his loving family, devoted wife Noreen, daughter Margaret, grandchildren Aisling and Jack, sister Mary (Chicago), sisters-in-law Nora, Chrissie and Vera, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended relatives, extended relatives, former colleagues in Valley Ice Cream and Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann, the Club for Dancing, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements.
The funeral cortège, bearing the earthly remains of Mr Troy, will leave his residence on Tuesday morning March 9th at 10:15am, for Requiem Mass in the Cathedral of the Assumption, Cathedral Street, Thurles at 11:00am, followed by interment immediately afterwards in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Moyne Road, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
For the many persons who would have liked to have attended the funeral service of Mr Troy, but are unable to do so, due to current coronavirus pandemic restrictions; same can be viewed online HERE.
