Covid-19 Update: Mon. 17th Aug. 2020 – Zero New Deaths – 56 New Cases

Remember: Covid-19 virus capitalises on your complacency.

CSO stats relating to Covid-19 shows that todate, 19 persons within Co. Tipperary borders, have lost their lives as a direct result of the Covid-19 pandemic. Within the county todate the total number of cases confirmed stands at 565, but this number is expected to rise.

This evening, the Department of Health has confirmed that there have been zero new deaths caused by the Covid-19 pandemic; leaving the overall death toll here in the Republic of Ireland remaining at 1,774.

However, there are 56 new additional cases reported to the Department of Health, leaving the current total number of confirmed cases, since conception in the Irish Republic, at 27,313.

We understand that 79% of all new cases involve people under the age of 45, with 26 cases reported in Co. Kildare and 13 in Co. Dublin.


Please, please redouble your efforts in relation to hand washing, physical distancing and reduce contacts, until this virus has been destroyed.
