Covid-19 Update: Fri. 3rd July 2020 – 2 Deaths – 9 New Cases

National statistics, information and data relating to COVID-19 will now be available via the Covid-19 Data Hub site which can be viewed from HERE.

The total number of Covid-19 virus cases confirmed here in Co. Tipperary; remains unchanged at 543, [Thurles Rural <5] with zero cases identified over the previous 7 days. Despite those awaited virus test results, there remain no confirmed cases of Covid-19 virus at either University Hospital, Limerick, latter serving Tipperary North or South Tipperary General Hospital, Clonmel, serving the south of the county.

This evening, the Department of Health has confirmed that 2 deaths have been caused by Covid-19 in Ireland over the last 24 hours. These latest figures leave the total number of deaths caused by this pandemic at 1,740.

A further 9 additional confirmed cases of coronavirus bring the total number of cases in the Irish Republic to 25,498.

Ireland’s 14 day incidence of Covid-19 is now less than 3 cases per 100,000. This remains amongst the lowest in Europe demonstrating that the disease remains suppressed in our local communities, with possibly the exception of counties Dublin and Kildare.
