Covid-19 Update: Mon. 8th June 2020 – 4 Death – 9 New Cases

As the second phase of the Government’s plan to get the economy moving again gets under way, the total number of Covid-19 virus cases confirmed here in Co. Tipperary; as of midnight on Saturday last, June 6th, remains at 540, with 0 new cases notified within a 24 hour period.

The Department of Health has confirmed this evening that a further 4 person has sadly passed away from the virus here in the Republic of Ireland, over the past 24 hours. These latest figures leave the total number of deaths caused by this pandemic currently at 1,683.

This evening, it has also been confirmed that an additional 9 new cases of the virus (the lowest daily figure since the 11th of March last) have been identified, bringing the total since conception, here in the Republic of Ireland, to 25,210.

People are still being warned to continue to avoid large gatherings / family celebrations in private homes or indeed elsewhere.
