Covid-19 Update: Fri. 15th May 2020 – 16 Deaths – 129 New Cases

No new virus cases have been confirmed here in Co. Tipperary; as of midnight on Wednesday, May 13th last, with the total number of cases identified, reduced by 8, from 524 to 516, up to and including that date.

The Department of Health has confirmed, this afternoon, that a further 16 people have tragically died from the Covid-19 virus, here in the Republic of Ireland, over the past 24 hours. These latest figures bring the total number of deaths from this pandemic, sadly to 1,518.

At a press briefing this evening, sadly Health Chiefs have also confirmed that an additional 129 cases of coronavirus have been identified nationally, bringing the total since conception to 23,956.

Earlier today, An Taoiseach Leo Varadkar stated that people should use face coverings when using busy public transport or in an enclosed indoor public area, as part of Phase One of the easing of Covid-19 restrictions.
