Death Of Ann Gibson, Thurles, Co. Tipperary

It was with sadness that we learned of the death, on Thursday 23rd May 2019, of Mrs Ann Gibson (nee Kinane), Fontenoy Terrace, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Ballagh, Clonoulty, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Mrs Gibson passed away unexpectedly, while in the care of St. Vincent’s Hospital, Dublin.

Ireland Vote To Pass Divorce Referendum

The Republic of Ireland has voted overwhelmingly in favour of the removal of the existing Article 41.3.2 (i) in Bunreacht na hÉireann being removed, thus changing current references on ‘Divorce’ in the Constitution.

Final Vote: The final vote was 1,304,949 in favour of these changes (82.1%), with 284,735 against (17.9%).

IRA Leader Dies In Prison.

A ‘Real IRA’ leader, Mr Seamus McGrane, latter who plotted an explosion during the State visit of Prince Charles to Ireland, back in 2015, died yesterday in Portlaoise prison.

The 63-year-old Mr McGrane died from a suspected heart attack, while serving an 11-and-a-half year prison sentence for directing terrorism.

Death Of Dermot M. Moloney, Thurles, Tipperary

It is with sadness that we learned of the death today, Saturday 25th May 2019, of Mr Dermot Matthew Moloney, Two-mile-Borris, Thurles, Tipperary and formerly of Daleview Road, Swords, Co Dublin.
