Mitchel House Restaurant, Thurles, have just announced their Christmas 2011 Early Bird Menu.

Starter

Slow Roasted Barbeque Pork Belly, With Rocket, Mature Cashel Blue Cheese and Toasted Almonds, Warm Sherry Vinegar Dressing.
Chicken Liver and Cognac Pate, Red Onion Marmalade, Red Currant Dressing, Crisp Melba Toast.
Warm Spring Onion Potato Cake, Topped with Cooleeney Camembert and a Walnut Dressing.
Warm Salad of White Pudding, Served with Crisp Bacon, New Potatoes and Sweet Pea’s, Grain Mustard Dressing.
Cream of Fresh Country Vegetable Soup with Herb Croutons.

Main Course

Grilled Prime Sirloin Steak,Champ Mashed Potato, Black Pepper Sauce, Onion and Sage Parcel, Bearnaise Sauce. (€5 Supplement will apply).
Mitchel House Fish and Chips, Fillet of Cod in a Crisp Batter, with Pea Puree, Home Cut Chips and Tartare Sauce.
Roulade of Pork Fillet, With Roasted Shallots and Ginger, Soya Honey Sauce and a White Onion Jam.
Sauté Breast of Chicken, Kanturk Black Pudding Stuffing, Grilled Vegetable Potato Cake, Natural Herb Juices, Red Pepper Coulis.
Baked Fillet of Irish Salmon, Confit of Leek, Courgette and Lemon Orange Butter Sauce, Risotto of Mixed Vegetables, with Parmesan, Cooleeney Camembert, Mixed Herbs and a Smoked Gubeen Cheese Parcel.

Dessert
