Death Of Clare Tuohy, Formerly Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death today Sunday, 24th March 2024, of Ms Clare Tuohy, Leopardstown, Co. Dublin and formerly of Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by her sisters Helen (O’Connell) and Joan (Tuohy); Ms Tuohy passed away peacefully, while in the care of staff at Ashbury Nursing Home, 1A Kill Lane, Kill Of The Grange, Blackrock, Co. Dublin.

Her passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her nieces Mary, Maeve and Sinead, grandnephews Colm, Patrick and Liam, grandnieces Niamh, Clodagh, Saoirse and Caoimhe, extended relatives, colleagues in both the Labour Party and the Genealogical Society of Ireland, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements.

The earthly remains of Ms Tuohy will repose on Tuesday afternoon, March 26th, at Quinn’s of Glasthule, Funeral Home, No 28 Glasthule Rd, Sandycove, Dublin, (A96 EW88) from 4:30pm until 6:00pm.
Her remains will be received into the Church of St Mary, Sandyford, Dublin, on Wednesday morning March 27th, to further repose for Requiem Mass at 10:00am, followed by interment, immediately afterwards, in Deans Grange Cemetery, No 2 Grange Terrace, Deansgrange, Co Dublin.

Death Of Sr Kathleen Fogarty, Formerly Templemore, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death yesterday, Thursday 21st March 2024, of Sr Kathleen Fogarty, Convent of Mercy, Kells, Co. Meath and formerly of Knocka, Drom, Templemore, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by her brothers Dermot and Michael and her sisters Nellie and Josephine; Sr Kathleen passed away peacefully, while in the care of staff at Millbury Nursing Home, Navan, Co Meath.

Her passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her brothers Jim, John and Father Paul (USA), her sisters-in-law Mairéad, Ann and Lilian, her nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, Sisters of Mercy community, extended relatives and many friends.

The earthly remains of Sr Kathleen will repose at the Convent of Mercy, Kells, Co. Meath, on Sunday afternoon, March 24th, from 3:00pm until 5:30pm, following prayers.
Her remains will be received into the Church of St. Colmcille, Kells, on Monday morning at 10:40am, to further repose for Requiem Mass at 11:00am, followed by interment, immediately afterwards, in St. Colmcille’s Cemetery, Kells, Co. Meath.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death yesterday, Thursday 21st March 2024, of Mr Johnny Keane, No.3 Beechwood Lawns, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by his parents, son Mark, brother Jimmy and sisters Helen and Julia; the passing of Mr Keane is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, brothers Tom, Ger and Niall, sister Mary, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, extended relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Requiem Mass for Mr Keane will be celebrated on Monday morning, March 25th, at 11:00am, followed by interment immediately afterwards, in St Patrick’s Cemetery, Moyne Road, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death of Mr Christopher (Christy) Treacy, late of London, England, and formerly of Ballynonty, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by his parents William and Margaret (Webster), brothers William and Michael, sisters Anastasia and Margaret; the passing of Mr Treacy is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his loving wife Bernadette, (née Purcell), his children Diane, David, Michael, William, Lorraine and Kerry, sisters Nonie, Mary, Kate and Lily, grandchildren, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Death Of Eileen Ryan, Formerly Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death yesterday, Wednesday 20th March 2024, of Mrs Eileen Ryan (née Kelly) Hillview, Dublin Road, Johnstown, Kilkenny, and formerly of Georgespark, Gortnahoe, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by her beloved husband Martin, sisters Bridget, Margaret and Christina; Mrs Ryan passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, while in the care of staff at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny city, Co. Kilkenny.

Her passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her family; Stephen, Christine, Aidan, Martina (Butler), Teresa (Clarke) and Maria (Duffy), daughters-in-law Audrey and Ita, sons-in-law P.J., Declan and Barry, 15 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, brother Hugh, sister Maureen, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
