Accident Scene
News just coming in of a serious accident, close to the roundabout which serves Cathedral Street, Mitchel Street & Kickham Street. The accident is understood to have involved a school bus and a cyclist at the start of the exit into Kickham Street (or the Dublin Road exit) between Topaz petrol station and the roundabout itself.
Police and emergency services are currently at the scene & the area is presently closed off to all vehicles and pedestrians.
Vehicles travelling from an easterly direction are being directed to the town centre via the Mill Road.
The road is currently closed and is expected to remain so for some time, with traffic diversions in place, as investigators examine the accident scene.
