Death Of Paddy Doherty, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with a great sadness that we learned of the death, today Wednesday 15th June 2022, of Mr Patrick (Paddy) Doherty, Naomh Bríd, Ard Na Croise, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by his daughter Rosie, brothers Billy, Larry and Jack, sisters Kitty and Peggy; Mr Doherty passed away peacefully at his place of residence, while in his 96th year; surrounded by his loving family and following a short illness most bravely borne.

His passing is deeply regretted by his devoted wife of 70 years, Nora, his daughters Mary, Jean, Anne-Marie, Catherine and Nora, sons Larry, Fr. Con, Pat, Ger, Ken and nephew Sean, 29 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, brother Martin, sister Mary, nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended relatives, carers, former colleagues in the County Library and Order of Malta (Thurles founder member), neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Funeral Arrangements.

The earthly remains of Mr Doherty will repose at Hugh Ryan’s Funeral Home, Slievenamon Road, Thurles, on Friday evening, June 17th, from 5:00pm to 7:30pm, before being received into the Cathedral of the Assumption, Cathedral Street, Thurles at 8:30pm.
Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning, June 18th, at 11:00am, followed by interment, immediately afterwards, in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Moyne Road, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

For the many persons who would have liked to have attended the funeral service for Mr Doherty, but due to distance or ill health are unable to do so; same can be viewed online HERE.

Death Of Neddy Doyle, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with a great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday Monday, 13th June, 2022, of Mr Edward (Neddy) Doyle, Castletown, Moyne, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by his brothers Billy and Jimmy; Mr Doyle passed away peacefully while in the care of staff at Sacred Heart Nursing Home, Crosspatrick, Co. Kilkenny.

His passing is most deeply regretted by his loving sisters Mary and Kitty, brother Tommy, sister-in-law Annie, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Funeral Arrangements.

The earthly remains of Mr Doyle will repose at the residence of his nephew Mr John Doyle, Castletown, Moyne, Thurles, on Wednesday evening from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.
His body will be received into the Church of St. Mary, Moyne, Thurles, on Thursday morning arriving at 11:00am, to further repose for Requiem Mass at 11:30am.
Interment will take place immediately afterwards in nearby St. Mary’s Cemetery, Moyne, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Temporary Traffic Management On R-659, At Cabragh, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Cabragh Road, Thurles, Co. Tipperary

Temporary Traffic Management will be in place on the R 659, Cabragh, Thurles, Co. Tipperary from 7:00am on Wednesday morning next, June 15th, to 7:00pm on Friday evening, June 19th next, 2022 due to road resurfacing.

Temporary traffic management and diversions will be in place for the duration of the works with local access only.

Thurles exam students, normally using this route, should make special note, in case of unforeseen delays.

Death Of Tom Reddy, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with a great sadness that we learned of the death, today, Monday 13th June, 2022, of Mr Tom Reddy, Caisleann Court, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Rathmines, Co. Dublin.

Mr Reddy, sadly, passed away while in the care of staff at Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross, Dublin.

His passing is most deeply regretted by his son Austin, daughter Erin, his sister Kate (Catherine), close cousins Mary (McNamara) and Tommy (O’Dwyer), nieces Jane, Maria and Emily, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

Death Of Fr. Loughlin Brennan P.P. Formerly Of Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with a great personal sadness that I learned of the death, on Saturday last, 11th June, 2022, of Rev. Fr. Loughlin Brennan P.P., Parochial House, Murroe, Co. Limerick and formerly of Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by his parents Richard and Bridgit, his brother Andrew and Andrew’s infant twin brother; Fr. Brennan passed away suddenly at his parochial house in Murroe, Co. Limerick.

Fr. Brennan was a man who offered, at all times, appreciable kindness and consideration. Deeply religious, Fr. Brennan was a man always with a smile and an infectious sense of humour, who lead the way bringing much understanding and often great joy to the lives of the many persons, whose path he crossed.

His passing is most deeply regretted by his sister Joan, brothers Richard, Michael, Tommy and Patrick, sisters-in-law Jacqueline, Ann, Christine and Sadia, brother-in-law Stephen, nephews, Patrick, Joshua, Oisín and Zachariah, extended relatives, Archbishop and priests of Cashel and Emly Diocese, neighbours and friends.

The funeral cortège, bearing his earthly remains, will leave Meehan’s Funeral Home, Newport, Co. Tipperary on Tuesday afternoon, June 14th, at 3:00pm, travelling via 5 Cross Roads, Boher Church and Killanure School, to be received into the Church of the Holy Rosary, Murroe, Co Limerick, to repose from 4:00pm until 7:00pm.
Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday morning, June 15th, at 11:30am, followed by interment immediately afterwards in Loughmore Cemetery, Loughmore, Templemore, Co Tipperary.
