Episode 4

Thurles housewife, Mrs Axelle Ryan, alarmed by the fact that Irish prices were now 40% higher than the average across the European Union; armed with a revolver enters a Thurles bank with the intension of relieving them of all cash deposits.
Ordering all the banks customers to lie on the ground, she passes a large Walker & Hunt Duffle bag over the counter demanding that it be filled with cash.

Once the object of her intention was acceded too and her bag returned, now bulging at the seams with cash, she turns to a customer on the floor and asks, “Did you see me rob this bank?”

The man honestly replied, “Yes Madam, I did.”

Mrs Ryan shot him in the head, killing him instantly.

She then turned to the couple lying next to the now deceased male, and addressing them both asks, “Did either of you see me rob this bank?”

The female lying on the floor replied, “No Madam, I didn’t, but my husband did!.

Death Of Shiela Foley, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with a great sadness that we learned of the death, Saturday, 13th August, 2022, of Mrs Shiela Foley (née Ryan), Parkmore, Mullinahone, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly Co. Limerick.

Pre-deceased, in 2002, by her husband Denis; Mrs Foley passed away peacefully at her place of residence.

Her passing is most deeply regretted by her children; Maurice, Conor, Gearoid, Emer and Ann, her grandchildren Brion, Tom, Eve, Maria, Catherine and Donnchadh, her great grandchildren Cailin, Emily and Olivia, daughters-in-law Claire and Stephanie, her sisters Maureen and Monica, her brother-in-law Jimmy, her nieces and nephews, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

Requiescat in Pace.

Funeral Arrangements.

The earthly remains of Mrs Foley will repose in St. Michael’s Church, Mullinahone, Thurles, Co. Tipperary on Tuesday evening, August 16th, from 6:00pm8:00pm, with prayers at 8:15pm.
Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday morning, August 17th, at 11:30am, followed by interment immediately afterwards in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Killaghy, Mullinahone, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

For the many persons who, due to distance or ill health, would wish to view and participate in the funeral service for Mrs Foley, same may do so online HERE.

Tipperary Lotto Winner Scoops €1 Million In EuroMillions.

Tipperary has yet another brand new millionaire, all thanks to Friday night’s EuroMillions ‘Ireland Only Raffle’.

The winning €1 million ticket; a ‘quick pick’ was purchased online via the National Lottery Application.

This special raffle event promises to make four brand new millionaires in Ireland over this month of August, 2022.

Last night (Friday) was a big night for Irish winners, as the EuroMillions draw saw over 55,000 players win various prizes.

Alas, there was no winner of the €54,932,236 jackpot, which now becomes a massive €65 million on next Tuesday, August 16th.

Death Of Mary Hickey, Formerly Thurles, Co Tipperary.

It was with a great sadness that we learned of the death, Friday 12th, August 2022, of Mrs Mary Hickey (née Bolger), Ashcourt, Clerihan, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary and formerly Mullinahone, Thurles, Co Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by her brother Paddy; Mrs Hickey passed away peacefully, while in the care of staff at Tipperary University Hospital, Clonmel, surrounded by her loving family.

Her passing is most deeply regretted by her loving husband Michael, daughters Elaine (McGowran) and Marianne (McWey), son Michael, brothers Tommy, Michael, Jackie and Gerry, sister Eleanor (Kelly), sons-in-law Damian and John, grandchildren Sam, Alex, Amy and Finn, nephews, nieces, extended relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Funeral Arrangements.

The earthly remains of Mrs Hickey will repose at Condon’s Funeral Parlour, Dillon St, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary, on Sunday evening, August 14th, from 5.00pm until 7.00pm.

Her body will be received into the Church of St. Michael, Clerihan, Clonmel, Thurles, on Monday, August 15th, to further repose for Funeral Mass at 12.00 noon; followed by interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining graveyard.

For the many persons who would have liked to have attended the funeral service for Mrs Hickey, but are unable to do so; same can be viewed online HERE.
