Death Of Peader Purcell, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with a great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday, Wednesday, 31st August, 2022, of Mr Peader Purcell, Moher, Upperchurch, Thurles, Co. Tipperary

Pre-deceased by his sister Anna and her husband Dan; the passing of Mr Purcell is most deeply regretted by his loving wife Joan, son Cathal, daughters Sheena and Aoife and their partners Colm and Owen, grandchildren Ally, Evan, Calin and Aila, brother Pakie, sisters Shelia (Barry) and Maudie (Ryan), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended relatices, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Funeral Arrangements.

The earthly remains of Mr Purcell will repose at O’Dwyer’s Funeral Home, Upperchurch, Thurles on Saturday evening from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.
His body will be received into the Church of the Sacred Heart, Upperchurch, Thurles on Sunday afternoon at 1:30pm to further repose for Requiem Mass at 2:00pm, followed by interment in the nearby local cemetery.

Death Of Joe Coman, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with a great sadness that we learned of the death, today, Thursday, 1st September, 2022, of Mr Joe Coman, Ballygammane, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by his infant son David, brothers Jimmy, John and Justin; Mr Coman passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, while in the care of staff at Tipperary University Hospital, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.

His passing is most deeply regretted by his devoted wife Maureen, daughter Anne Marie, sons Donnacha and Brian, grandchildren Emily, Sean, Kayla, Rian and Bree, son-in-law Ger, daughters-in-law Emily and Sarah, brother Paddy, sister Mary (Cummins), nephews, nieces, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, extended relatives, great neighbours and many friends.

The earthly remains of Mr Coman will repose at Hugh Ryan’s Funeral Home, Slievenamon Road, Thurles on Friday evening, September 2nd, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.
His body will be received into the Cathedral of the Assumption, Cathedral Street, Thurles on Saturday morning, September 3rd at 10:30am, to further repose for Requiem Mass at 11:00am.
Interment will take place immediately after Mass in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Moyne Road, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Two Thurles Eateries Honoured At Irish Restaurant Awards Night.

Not surprisingly, two Thurles eateries were honoured at the Munster Regional Finals of the Irish Restaurant Awards on Friday night last.

Naomi’s Café, situated on Friar Street, Thurles, took the award for ‘Best Café ‘, [Sponsored by Illy], while Mitchel House Restaurant on Mitchel Street, Thurles took the award for ‘Best Customer Service‘. [Sponsored By Restaurant-Insurance.ie Provided by Dolmen]

Both Thurles establishments will now go forward to the All-Ireland finals, latter which will take place on September 19th, next, in the Dublin Convention Centre.

Death Of Aidan O’Sullivan, Formerly Templemore, Co. Tipperary.

It was with a great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday, Wednesday 31st August, 2022 of Mr Aidan O’Sullivan, Hayestown, Clonard, Co. Wexford and formerly of Templemore, Co. Tipperary

Pre-deceased by his daughter Mary, sister Maureen and brother Joe; the passing of Mr O’Sullivan, a former principal of Kilmore National School and Co-founder of the CBS Wexford Boxing Club, is most deeply regretted by his loving wife Letty, children Nessa and Conor, brother Brendan, sister Ann, grandchildren Róisín, Odhrán and Sadhbh, daughter-in-law Sinéad, son-in-law Martin, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

His body will be received into the Church of the Annunciation, Clonard Road, Newtown, Co. Wexford on Friday morning, September 2nd, to further repose for Requiem Mass at 11:00am.
Cremation will take place on Saturday afternoon, September 3rd, at 1:30pm in Mt. Jerome Crematorium, Harold’s Cross, Dublin.
