Death Of Vera Kennedy, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death on Monday 17th June 2024 of Mrs Veronica (Vera) Kennedy (née Butler), Cleakile, Ballycahill, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Grange, Ardcroney, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by her beloved husband Patrick, her parents Patrick and Bridget and her sister Mary; Mrs Kennedy passed away peacefully, while in the care of staff at Nenagh Hospital.
Her is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sorrowing family; daughter Yvonne, grandson Matthew, brother Tony, sisters-in-law Sally, Mary, Nancy and Margaret, brother-in-law Jimmy Foy, nieces, nephews, cousins, rxtended relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements.

The earthly remains of Mrs Kennedy will repose at her place of residence (E41 Y667) on tomorrow afternoon, Thursday, June 20th, from 4:00pm until 8:30pm.
Her remains will be received into the Church of St. Laurence O’Toole, Inch, Monroe, Bouladuff, Thurles, to further repose for Funeral Mass on Friday, June 21st at 11:30am, followed by interment, immediately afterwards in Burgess Cemetery, Burgesbeg, Ballywilliam, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary.

Death Of Maura Ryan, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death today Tuesday 18th June 2024 of Mrs Maura Ryan [Casey] (née Corbett), Whitepound, Drombane, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Doree, Upperchurch, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by her parents Jimmy and Bridget, husband Jack, son Michael and daughter-in-law Slovika; the passing of Mrs Ryan is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sorrowing family; sons and daughter Tom, Jim, Margaret (Gildea), Gerard and John, daughters-in-laws Majella, Lorna and Rosie, son-in-law James, grandchildren Aidan, Aaron, Jack, Michéal, Caylum, Shona, Oran, Jamesie and Tom, brother Paddy Corbett and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, extended relatives, neighbours, friends and especially her good friend Bridie Carew.

The earthly remains of Mrs Ryan will repose at O’Dwyer’s Funeral Home, Cappanleigh, Upperchurch, Thurles, on Thursday evening, June 20th, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.
Her remains will be received into the Church of St Mary, Drombane, Thurles on Friday morning, June 21st, to further repose for Requiem Mass at 11:30am, followed by interment, immediately afterwards in nearby Kilvalure Cemetery, The Glebe, Drombane, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Death Of Michael O’Shea, Formerly Of Thurles, Co Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death on Saturday, 25th May 2024, of Mr Michael O’Shea, Dunboyne, Co. Meath; late of Manchester, and formerly of Bonlea, Grange, Barna, Thurles, Co Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by his parents Tommy and Alice, and brothers Eddie and Joe; Mr O’Shea passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, following a short illness in Manchester.

His passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sorrowing family; loving wife Bridget, heartbroken daughters Maureen, Siobhàn and Fiona, grandsons Seàn, Tadhg and Oisín, son-in-law John, brothers James and Richard, sisters Catherine, Jodie and Mary, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends on both sides of the Irish Sea.

His remains will be received into the Church of the Assumption, Ballingarry (SR), Thurles on Saturday morning to further repose for Requiem Mass at 11:30am, followed by interment in the Good Shepherd Cemetery, Thurles Road, Gortnahoe, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Tipperary Gardaí Arrest Drug Driver Who Failed To Stop.

On patrol this morning, Tipperary Roads Policing Unit; using their number plate recognition application system, identified an uninsured motor vehicle.

When Gardai attempted to halt the vehicle the driver drove off before eventually loosing control of the car, colliding with a fence and narrowly missing a private residence.
The learner driver who had no insurance and was unaccompanied, also failed a DrugWipe test; testing positive, on the roadside, for cocaine.

The motor vehicle which had a dangerous bald tyre and no valid NCT, has now been seized and the driver has been arrested.

Death Of Mary Doyle, Formerly Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death today, Monday 17th June 2024, of Mrs Mary Doyle (née Moore) No.13. Oak Grove, Muine Bheag, Co. Carlow and formerly of Templetouhy, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Mrs Doyle passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, while in the care of staff at Beechwood Nursing Home, Leighlinbridge, Co. Carlow.

Her passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sorrowing family; sons Jim, Mike and Dick, daughter Maria; sisters Breda and Norah; brothers Mike, Pat, Marty, Con, Ger; son-in-law Brendan, daughter-in-law Helen and grandchildren Luke, Conor, Adam and Rory, nieces, nephews, extended relatives neighbours and friends.

The earthly remains of Mrs Doyle will repose at S. Somers and Sons Funeral Home, Church Road, Bagenalstown Co. Carlow, (R21 DY66), on Tuesday afternoon from 2:00pm until 7:00pm, same evening, with recitation of funeral prayers at 6:00pm.
Her remains will be received into the nearby Church of St. Andrew, Market Square, Bagenalstown, Co. Carlow, to further repose for Requiem Mass on Wednesday morning, June 19th, at 11:30am, followed by interment, immediately afterwards, in the Cemetery of Our Lady of the Assumption, Bagenalstown, Kilcarrig, Muine Bheag, Co. Carlow.

Note Please: Mrs Doyle was not a fan of wearing black clothing at funerals, so bright attire for those attending would be greatly appreciated. No wreaths, however, fresh flowers from your garden are always welcome.
