Missing Person Appeal For Tipperary Man Stood Down.

Gardaí have confirmed that the missing person appeal for 30-year-old Mr Niall Brennan, who was previously reported missing from the village of Mullinahone, Co. Tipperary since Monday, October 13th 2025, has been stood down following the sad discovery of a man’s body.

Mr Brennan had been the subject of a public appeal in recent weeks. He was described as 6ft tall, of medium build, with brown hair and blue eyes. Gardaí and his family had expressed deep concern for his welfare.

A man’s body, believed to be that of Mr Brennan, has now been recovered. The remains have been removed from the scene and a post-mortem examination will take place in the coming days.

Gardaí say investigations remain ongoing, and a file will be prepared for the Coroner’s Court.

An Garda Síochána has thanked the public and local media for their assistance during the appeal.

Death Of Ritchie Mahoney, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday Tuesday 18th November 2025, of Mr Richard (Ritchie) Mahoney, Old Road, Urlingford, Co. Kilkenny and formerly of Fennor, Gortnahoe, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by his partner Kathleen, his parents Edward and Kitty and his brothers-in-law Ken (Coogan) and Chris (Brennan); Mr Mahoney passed away peacefully, while in the care of staff at Fennor Care Facility, Urlingford, Co. Kilkenny.

His passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sorrowing family; loving sisters Anne and Eileen, brother John, niece, nephews, extended relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Funeral Arrangements.

The earthly remains of Mr Mahoney, will repose at Doyle’s Funeral Home, Urlingford, Co. Kilkenny, (Eircode E41 XO38), on Thursday afternoon, November 20th from 5:00pm until 7:00pm same evening.
His remains will be received into the Church of the Sacred Heart, Gortnahoe, Thurles, on Friday morning November 21st to further repose for Requiem Mass at 11:30am, followed by interment, immediately afterwards, in Fennor Cemetery, Fennor, Co. Tipperary.
