Death Of Norah O’Brien, Formerly Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with the deepest regret that we learned of the death, yesterday Saturday 12th June 2021, of Mrs Norah O’Brien (née Ryan Cooney), Bartoose, Emly, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Upperchurch, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Predeceased by her loving parents Tom and Eileen and her infant brother Conor; Mrs O’Brien passed away peacefully, while in the care of staff at Milford Care Centre, Limerick.

Her passing is most deeply regretted by her loving husband John, sons Thomas and Joseph, daughter Mary, her aunt Jonie, sisters Mary, Eileen and Josephine, brothers John, Tom, Gerard, Michael, Pat and Martin, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended relatives neighbours and many friends.

Funeral Arrangements.

The earthly remains of Mrs O’Brien will repose for Requiem Mass in St. Ailbe’s Church, Emly Co. Tipperary, on Monday afternoon, June 14th, at 1:00pm, followed by interment immediately afterwards in the local cemetery.

[NB: Due to National Public Health Guidelines, regarding C-19 virus restrictions; those attending (limited to 50 mourners), will continue to observe strict adherence to social distancing and face covering.]

Death Of Paddy McGrath, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It is with the deepest regret that we learned of the death, today Saturday 12th June 2021, of Mr Patrick (Paddy) McGrath, Moycarkey, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Predeceased by his brothers Fr. John and James, sister Biddy Ann (Kelly); Mr McGrath passed away peacefully, at his place of residence.

His passing is most deeply regretted by his sisters Kitty (Campion, Woodsgift.) and Mary (Ryan, Clogher), sister-in-law Catherine, nieces Hannah (Crosse), Margaret-Mary, Edwina and Antonia, nephews, grandnephews, grandnieces, extended relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Funeral Arrangements.

The funeral cortège, bearing the earthly remains of Mr McGrath will be received into the Church of St. Peter, Moycarkey, Thurles on Monday morning June 14th, at 11:00am to repose for Requiem Mass at 11:30am.
Interment will take place immediately afterwards in St. Peter’s graveyard, Moycarkey, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Death Of Philomena Dunne, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with the deepest regret that we learned of the death, yesterday Friday 11th June 2021, of Mrs Philomena Dunne (née Power), Dublin Hill, Ballingarry (South Riding), Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Mrs Dunne passed away peacefully.

Her passing is most deeply regretted by her loving husband Michael, sons Tim and JJ, daughters Mary and Beatrice, daughters-in-law Paula and Marie, sons-in-law Noel and Mark, grandchildren Laura, Michelle, Jenny, Michael, Emer, Daragh, Eoghan, Gavin, Shauna, Liam, Daniel, Lucy and Tommy, great grandchildren Mikie and Teigan, brothers John and Willie, sisters Breda, Maudie and Peg, sister-in-law Ann, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, best friend Catherine, neighbours and friends.

Death Of Ruth Holloway, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with the deepest regret that we learned of the death, yesterday Wednesday 9th June 2021, of Mrs Ruth Holloway (née O’ Gorman), Kilrush, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Mrs Holloway is survived by her daughter Jasmine, son Jake, mother and father Margaret, and Eamonn (O’ Gorman), sister Ria, brother-in-law Andrew (Shakespeare), niece Bella, nephews Zac, Charlie and Noah.

An online Memorial Service for Mrs Holloway will take place on Saturday, July 3rd, at 7:00pm via Zoom.

A piece of scripture, [Philippians 4:6 & 7.] much loved by Mrs Holloway, is an extract from the Epistle to the Philippians, addressed to the Christian Church in Philippi, which reads:-

“do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Detailed description:

Tipperary County Council and Thurles Municipal District are now working towards the provision of new footways/cycle paths and improvements to existing footways adjacent to the River Suir and its tributary, the Drish River. The overall development now under consideration is sub-divided into four phases as follow: –

Phase 1. Extending along the west bank of the River Suir from the footbridge adjacent to the Town Park at Thomond Road, as far as Thurles Golf Club.
Phase 2. Extending northwards along the east bank of the River Suir as far as its confluence with the Drish River and from there along the south bank of the Drish River as far as the bridge on Mill Road.
Phase 3. Extending along the Drish River from the bridge on Mill Road to the N75 National Secondary Road on the outskirts of Thurles;
Phase 4. Extending from the bridge on Mill Road for a distance of approximately 1km northwards along Mill Road to meet up with the existing footpath.

The Project, to which this Consultant’s Brief (May 2021) (the “Brief”) relates, consists of the following elements of the overall development:-

The preliminary design, route selection and preparation of the overall Master Plan in respect of Phases 1 to 4 inclusive, and
The Part 8 planning process, the detailed design, tender, construction and handover stages of Phases 1 and 2 only.
